Collecting sans Dust
At one point I collected cafe au lait bowls, they look like cereal bowls. The French, use these to drink their morning coffee with milk. Mine were stacked on top of the kitchen mantle, three and four at a time. "A good collection is worth more then an object of one," A dealer once told me. Though, I wonder if he ever had to dust a collection? After years of collecting and dusting, I sold the café au lait bowls to a friend who always wanted them. Now I can admire the bowls chez elle, without dusting!
I’m starting a, "collection of collectors." Send me an email, tell me what is your favorite thing to collect, (preferably old things, big or small, rare or common.) I’ll try to find it here in France, then I’ll post it under your name on my weblog; Wish list from collectors!
