Looking Beyond Here and Now

I clicked the photo hoping to capture this camel’s beautiful eye with his long eyelashes. But he had other ideas! He stepped back, turned his head and walked away. I was disappointed by the missed opportunity!

Sometimes we think we know the best; only to be shown later that one way is not the only way. Sometimes the missed opportunity is the miracle we didn’t see coming!

    That was the miracle!
When I was focusing on the camel’s eye I didn’t notice the pyramid behind him, at the same time I clicked the camera to take the shot is when he stepped back and turned his head, the surprise was before me! I didn’t realize the view I had captured until I downloaded the photos!

Other than a shot of his eye, I don’t think you could’ve gotten a better one. With the camel glancing in the distance at the pyramid, the content is priceless.

I completely agree, but this is only available in retrospect. In this particular case, you got pretty quick feedback. So often though, there are months or even years between the missed opportunity and the bigger, better one to come. How frustrating that can be!

So true – life can be so multi-faceted…sort of like staring at a diamond under the light of the sun, you can look at it for hours and every angle is different…
