Sharing Sacredness

Yesterday morning with lavender oil, soft music, a few French words, and a broken crystal, I went to my first rendez-vous. A session of sacred relaxation.

A friend of a friend, a man, who wanted to learn how to relax, to feel less stress.

Each step to his house I felt scared. Is it possible to give something I "feel," even though I don’t have any professional training in this area? He and his wife were waiting in the garden. Their smiles reassured me.

The healing power of touch. The blessing to touch someone and feel their presence. Who gives? Who receives? It is a sharing, a prayer, a moment suspended in time.

One of my best friend’s father passed away recently, if only I could offer the power of touch though he is too far away…sometimes words cannot express what you want to give.

What a lovely account of those quiet, yet intense moments! Learning to relax is something from which most of us could benefit.

  4. Corey, I can just imagine that being in your presence is ‘stress-free’… Tell us about the broken crystal – how did you use it??? I write this at 2:30 am, wishing for your hands on my back, as womanly stress (menopause) rears her head yet again… I will meditate on your beautiful hands…

you know Corey, this has touched a cord in me… since my being healed, I find that I have a healing hand as well. I know it is not me healing.. it is definately the Holy Spirit but doesn’t it feel so good to give some of what you have received? Of course me being me.. I went and did a reiki course. 🙂

    You are so remarkeable, wow!
Have you heard of Reiki? It’s energy work, I’m sure you’ve probably heard of it… I thought originally that is what you were talking about doing, I have a friend, Anita, she is a client of mine who reminds me alot of you, she is amazing too, she got her Phd, when she was 55, and did her dissertation on Reiki, she goes all around to hospitals all over the country and convents to teach it.
Someday, do you think you could tell us about the monestery story, I would love to hear that, I’m so curious:)
    Fondly, kim

Corey that is so wonderful to give! I did that yesterday too in my own special way… Smiling and good thoughts and help mean the world at times.

The power to heal starts with a hug…..

  31. Jennifer

That sounds so delightful. Healing touch.

I know that as we become older and then elderly, touch can fade from our lifes. I am now working with some older/wiser people. I support them with daily /personal needs. I haven’t done this for years. I held a person’s hand today and she enclosed my hand with both of hers. She said….”my word it’s a long time since someone has done that”. I was pole-axed. So I held her hand while she drank her tea. I left feeling very, very humble. Touch. Please what ever God there is that I never forget today’s experience.
    Your post was so timely.
    Thankyou.

  33. When I practise it, I know I get healed as well as do the healing. I’m not the healer, but the conduit for the healing.
Big warm hugs to you. xoxo
