Frenchmen with Class

Before the church bells strike eight, three men with arms the size that Popeye would envy, have been coming to our home, to work in our garden. They are creating a stone fountain and re doing the old wall, amongst other things.

Each morning we share a cup of coffee. This morning it dawned on me, one of the extraordinary elements of a French man is, that they don’t mind drinking coffee in dainty pretty cups; cups that would make Cinderella blush!

Not only did Popeye’s envy, admire the "charmante" coffee cups, I was even granted permission to take a photo of the hunk’s arm!! A Prince Charming doesn’t get sweeter than this!

  20. Tres mignon! And for the hunky guy to mention the “charmante” cups – priceless! I love how the French pay attention to details that make a life well-lived.

  21. I don’t think you’d get British brickies doing the same thing – there’d be a curious look, more than likely a raucus laugh, then asked for something in a mug, with biscuits to dunk!

  22. that photo cracks me up. the cup looks sooo tiny!

  23. Oh my goodness, what eye candy, and I don’t mean just the cups!!! I think this is why I adore all things French so much, no matter the task, its done with style and amazing taste!
