And I giggled at your comment a few posts ago about having to have the lips to speak French. It is indeed the only way to speak French, with the lips pushed forward. You just can’t do it properly with English lips.

It is amazing that the rose you photographed looks as if it could be THE rose in that photograph even though that postcard rose is many rose generations ago.
I remember my grandmother making silk and wood fibre roses to decorate hats – so elegant!
