The Road Less Travelled

There aren’t any "bad" feelings… anger is not bad, it is strong and powerful and can jump start a dead car if only it could be directed in such a way!

Allow this powerful source to be plugged into a direction that can help create, rather than be destructive. Let anger take a voice, a thunderous cry, anger has the power to create something amazing. Enable it to transform itself, anger can be a healing prayer!

Yes I would agree that anger at times can be a healing prayer… which gives us the strength when necessary to handle adversity. If we hold onto anger too long it can be desructive. Good thought for the day Corey!

  3. I’m looking at your title… Roadless travelled.. whether you meant to make it one word or not, i like the thought of travelling ‘roadless’… off the beaten track…blazing your own trail.

I make it a habit to channel negative energy and use it for something positive.
One can move mountains this way.

  5. I too agree. Holding in your anger is like waiting for your head to explode. Let it out, let it go, channel it elsewhere.

  6. I rejoice always in my blessings and am always slow to anger, and if it does seep in, never allow anger to linger………….
I wish you peace and love and I send to celebrations today from our beautiful Canadian homeland today we celebrate her birth.
    Love is all you need!

I thought of Mother Teresa when you spoke of anger. Hers must have been a quiet and righteous anger at the woes of the world and look what she accomplished. All I ask now is “Cleanse me Lord that I can see where you want me.”

Thanks for the reminder. Anger is such an uncomfortable emotion, not one I feel often, rarely expressed. Instead it just simmers inside and I’m trying to learn to transform it to something more productive.

  9. hmmmm there are times I can move mountains !!

  10. I know a road that will be “less traveled”… the one that leads to my house if I don’t give you the directions! I’ll call you after 3:00, I don’t know the name of the exit yet! ha! Too busy freaking out about cleaning to find out how you are to get here….
    ;o)

  11. Toward the end of my first marriage, a friend said to me “You seem so angry”. I told him “I am”. He said “Use it…channel the negative, angry energy into positive change.”
Those words really stuck with me. And, I did exactly as he suggested. I used that energy to propel myself out of a very destructive relationship, that I was sure I would be forever trapped in.
Anger is an enormously powerful emotion. You just have to learn to take advantage of it. =)

  12. Good food for thought today Corey. I’ll need to chew on that. I always try to avoid anger in myself as well as in others, yet you are right that it can be used for positive if used in the right manner.

  13. They say there is no difference between love and hate, its just the feelings behind the emotion that makes them different… It must be the same of anger and happiness…
I have tingles thinking about tomorrow!

  14. I love this book cover, Corey! And such beautiful and inspiring words from you–as always….
    Thanks!!!

when I was a little girl, I can remember being so angry sometimes and stamping my feet. It always felt better when I did that. The anger was more out of frustration than anything else.

Love the photo and the sentiments, Corey. Great idea to direct anger into something positive. When my computer is crashing every two minutes, I’ll try to do that! 🙂
