On a blistering cold winter day in Italy, this carved marble angel caught my eye and seemed to say:

In every corner there is hope!

I am hoping for cooler weather soon, or I am going to take up residence in the freezer next to the popsicles!

  1. I love your eye for details, and the way you spin stories around them. And I love Italy 🙂
If you need cooler weather you are welcome up to Trondheim in Norway. The St.Olav Festival starts today, I can watch the busy last minute preparations through my office window, and the weather is perfect for the festival. And for garden life 🙂

  2. Want some wet/coldish/overcast weather? We’ve got lots to spare!

  3. If you wanna chill out come visit..you could go to the movies all day long or go shopping…FOR ICE CREAM! I am today

  4. Such a lovely observation and message, never give up hope because without hope all is lost. The weather has been very humid here, I need to bury myself in ice-cream 🙂

  5. Is that from the era when they didn’t know what shape a woman’s breasts were? Or is it colder than I thought?

  12. i like the way you linked the message with the beautiful angel. Will always remeber it 🙂

  13. Hehe…I feel for you. Last weekend, here in the Seattle area, it was 90-97. Not devastating heat, but for those of us used to Washingtons cooler temperatures, it was pretty darned uncomfortable.

  14. Hee hee! Is there a margarita mix next to the popsicles?

  15. I like the way you put the words blistering and cold together. Unexpected.

  16. I sympathize…today in Charleston, when you walk out of the air conditioning, it feels like you are stepping into, and forced to breath, a very hot bathtub.
I hear the California heat wave is supposed to subside today or tomorrow!!

  17. We’re HOT here too in the central north…I have to say tho* I am totally enjoying it:O)…stay coool ms C!

  18. I think the angel should do regular sit ups instead of just hoping…
