Give Yourself Unconditional Love

Do you give yourself the love you need? Do you greet yourself with happiness each morning as your reflection appears in the mirror? Are you your own best friend? Tell me do you like yourself? Are you the type of mentor that your soul longs for, do you take care of yourself by honoring the treasure your earthen vessel holds? Today I am giving myself flowers of unconditional love, by honoring my needs, praising the gift of life instead of seeing the cracks, and giving fully every ounce of myself for the glory that connects you and me.

photo: 19th century, hand-painted, French, door panels, many hands have touched them as they open and close, and yet the flowers remain as pretty as ever. The more you give the more you recieve, this is their philosophy

You, my dear mentor, are showing everyone of us readers how to love yourself and others with every post. I hope to meet you face to face someday.
share your life’s beauty with someone today.

  6. >do you take care of yourself by honoring the treasure (of)your earthen vessel< This is without a doubt the hardest lesson I will learn in this life.

  8. Dear Dr. Corey,
So you make house calls ?

  9. Lovely and loving post today, Corey. Some days, especially on these hot and humid days, I’m not so inclined to look at myself in the mirror for fear of the frizz! But thankfully most days I feel good about my life. What about you? What do you like best about yourself?

  10. the more love you give, the more you receive… your reminder is brilliant because if we start with loving ourselves, the ripples flow outward to others. i am grateful for these beautiful thoughts today.

  11. beautiful…thank you for this. this is so timely with the reflection meditation i am doing for the next two months (looking in the mirror at my own reflection each day as a meditation)…i have invited others to join me and one participant sent me here to read your words today. just what i needed to read. thank you.

  12. more and more every day…

  13. Good point! So often people want unconditional love from others, and yet do not give it to themselves!
Yes. It surely begins with oneself.
    XOXO

  14. I love you, too!!
Those flowers look exactly like chikory. The town I grew up in is named Bluefield because of all of the blue chikory that grow there.

  15. I think that by loving yourself you are truely able to love others. It sure shows in you.
You know, I’m still thinking of the motorcycle post you did a few back. We watched the movie “The World’s Fastest Indian” the other night, it was great, I think your Dad would enjoy it a lot if he hasn’t seen it already. I think anyone who understands the need for speed will love it!

  20. ?Today I am giving myself flowers of unconditional love”
How I adore that! Sorry to hear your vacation is coming to a close. What memories to savor!

  21. i try to live as if i am in
    love with myself.
a few years back, after a lifetime of being afraid of myself and everyone/thing else, i decided to practice radical acceptances and fearlessness. turning my face to the yes rather than the no.
i even commemorated this shift by buying myself a little wedding ring and having a ceremony entitled “i will never leave you!”
thank you for sharing your self-love practice!

  22. Yes, I am learning to do this. I have found that when I don’t like myself – or the reflection in the mirror, that is exactly when I need to love myself the most!

  23. good thoughts…

  24. Yes! it’s taken a long time to do so!
From the garden this morning, with rain still on them a bunch of fragrant bright yellow Narsissi.
