Flew To London

Guess who flew British Airways to London, from San Francisco yesterday?

His plane arrived safely, in fact it was the last plane to fly out of London (to Marseille,) before the Red Alert was put into action.

When I heard about the terrorism at the London airport, I felt myself transported in spirit to my husband’s side, I trusted he was okay…have you ever felt yourself go beyond the place were you stand? Have you ever felt your prayer answered, before you knew the actual response?

Guess who remains scared to fly and must do so in a few short weeks?

  4. That is one creepy shop! Hope your husband didn’t have too much trouble at the airport, flying can be a little daunting these days. May the peace of God be with you both.

  5. there is definitely an inner sense which kicks in at times like these. when we are ‘given’ the answer even before the question is answered. your mind cannot fight it…it’s just an intuitive feeling which comes from the depths of us.
    so pleased all is ok.

  7. These are scarry times, but it is best not to embrace a spirit of fear, but of peace and faith. I’m glad that the comfort of peace and faith filled your heart when your sweetie was flying yesterday. Blessings, Cat

I will never understand the mentality of the people behind the plots but I am very grateful for the people who put their lives on the line for the safety of others on a daily basis. Three cheers for Scotland Yard, Interpol and every other law enforcement officers in the UK!

  14. flying is such an unnatural thing, but necessary if you want to see this beautiful world and far away friends and family.
{{{hugs}}} to you all for a safe and happy return home.

  15. My brother was to have been in India this week and coming home tomorrow but his passport did not come back in time to get the Indian visa stamped so he is still home…and I was SO GRATEFUL.
I’m so glad Yann is alright; your heart must have been in your throat. Wishing you smooth flying when you make the journey in a few weeks.

  16. Corey! What a lovely few hours we had… I only wish they were longer and more frequent. I am so happy to hear that Yann made it through before Code Red! What a relief for you. I hope I didn’t set you into panic mode – that wasn’t my intention… I am sending you hugs, kisses and prayers. Until next time…!!!

  17. Yes I had. When my son was deployed to Iraq at the very beginning of the war, I didn’t know how to cope with the tremendous pain in my heart. On one of the first nights after he was gone, I was meditating, and suddenly, I had a very clear vision of his return. We were all partying, smiling and hugging him. At that precise moment I knew, deep in my heart, that he was going to be Ok. He is, and he is with me now.

  18. Thank all that is good that he and everyone else are ok.
So much darkness, makes your light ever brighter.
I will be praying for your safety, dearest friend.

  19. Corey, am glad to hear Yann made it home without incident. It’s probably safer now for you to fly to France than it was when you flew to the US – because of the increased security. But if you’re going through London, you’ll need to be aware of the security restrictions involving hand luggage. Bonne chance et bonne courage, mon ami!

  20. I’m so grateful that Yann and everyone who traveled yesterday arrived safely. I have no words for your fears Corey, but I know there are many who will be holding a good thought for your safe return to France. xoxo

  21. Oh Corey, that shop is to die for. I’ve bookmarked it for a visit at some future date when I am in the city.
Thank God Yann and all travelers arrived safely at their destinations and I know that you will as well.
    Blessings,
    Annie

  22. I am so gald Yann is home safely…it is a very tense time for sure I am anxious for Travis (dh) to come home from Europe 4 more weeks and I can breathe a sigh of relief.
I will keep you in my thoughts as you plan to travel in a few weeks I know it is safer now than perhaps even yesterday however I understand your feelings.
    My Best-
    Kristen

  23. Oh man! I am so happy he made it without any trouble. YUCK! I sure hope you and the kids make it all okay, too. Are you flying through London?

  25. So glad to hear that your husband made it back home safely. Your intuition is wonderful, I wish I could feel that, mine is usually clouded by fears and I have often had a feeling of dread in my stomach when I knew my husband was flying. I am not sure how to move past that, and into a place of greater connection and clarity?
Having said this I have no doubt that you will be absolutely fine when you are flying back. It remains the safest way to travel, there actually have been less air accidents since 9/11 than before, largely due to increased security and also better aircraft technology.
My friend Astrid, a keen traveller, always says: “Rather than fear that my plane will be the one to go down I think, why should it be mine? The odds are in my favor, not against it”.
Wishing you safe travels, the odds are in your favor, too.
    Take care, Kerstin
