The Key is Believing

There is a way.

There is hope.

There is meaning.

Light and dark.

Here and now.

A keyhole.

A passage.

The key.

You.

The way is going from moment to moment,

Yet being where we are.

Whatever side you are on.

Or even if you are in the middle.

I know this keyhole. One day I found the key, turned it and now I am on the otherside of that door. I left the darkness of that room and now I have only sunshine.

Look at what a cheerful little figure that keyhole makes – that is hope!

hole quite the same now.Great prose!

  5. “even if you’re in the middle.” Love it!!

  6. This is wonderful. We all need hope if we are to get on the other side of the keyhole. Once again you’ve started my day beautifully with your thoughtful comments.

  7. Do we take the key and open the door with abandon, embracing our findings on the other side..whatever they may be..?
Or do we stand, with key in hand and wonder if we dare turn the lock…?
    Decisions, decisions…

    The Key..
    Is not inside the Brie.
    The Way
    Is not at the D’Orsay..
    In the middle or Marseille..
    Life’s a buffet.
    Don’t knock it!

I love the title of this, “The Key is Believing,” because sometimes if you are in the dark, or if you’re still in the midst of unlocking the door to the next passageway in life, the key is to believe that no matter what, you can make it to the other side.
And the words and picture are absolutely beautiful in their simplicity.
    Wonderful. Much peace, JP

  10. Well said Corey! You should send your collections of photography and thought provoking poetry to a publisiher. Does anyone reading this know someone that could help Corey accomplish this??

    Oh yonder keyhole
    What awaits thee?
    A passage, light and dark
    Leads the nez.
    Do bottles rest there…
    Needing the best of care?
    Chablis and Chardonnay?

  16. moment to moment…nel:)

  17. I like being in the middle as it allows me to see a lot. If I remained on one side or the other, I’d miss so much.

Only the shoe-wearer knows which part of the shoe hurts the feet.
Even if you used all your strength with a metal rod. It is unable to open the sturdy metal lock hanging on a door. The key came, his tiny frame entered the key-hole, with a light turn, the big lock opens.
The metal rod asked curiously,”Why is it that I used all my strength yet the door could not be opened? Yet you could easily open the door?”
The key said,”Because I understand its heart well.”
Everyone’s heart is like a door with a lock, no matter how thick the rod is it will not open. Only with care can you make yourself into a tiny key…to enter and understand someone’s heart.
If everyone’s heart is locked with lots of secrets. If you are lucky enough, in your life you will encounter those who hold the key to the safe in your heart.
But many people in their lifetime will never have had their hearts opened.
It isn’t the amount of friends you have that matters, it is whether you share your heart. Never judge another person by their external appearance because many things is not what you had imagined. If you want to know the answer, why don’t you try to open that door?
