Missing You

How I wish I could sit by your side,

Hold you hand,

Smile into your eyes, and to

Have your breath moisten my fearful heart.

How I wish I could

Climb upon your lap and wrap your steadfast goodness about me,

and have your laughter reassure me,

Again and again,

Though far from you I stand, feeling your love lap against me from a distant sea.

  8. Tis the season to want to be with family. Amazing how far words can stretch and touch.

  9. A quilt might be a cozy friend, but it doesn’t come close to a hug from a dad, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. beautiful… hugs Corey

  11. I truly think that deep and abiding love transcends time and space. Close your eyes and sit quietly, both you and the object of your love will feel the tender innocence of those emotions.
And no matter what the future brings, this will always be so.Blessings to your and all your family.

  12. Beautifully said and haven’t we all felt like that over and over again — know that hugs are coming your way everyday even from what seems like an impossible distance.

  30. do you know how much healing, hope and insight you have brought to me – a girl who never had the pleasure and nourishment of a loving father’s company or guidance? Over time, this happened, but today’s post crystallized the awareness for me.
I don’t even have a picture of my father, but I could easily enough make some kind of symbolic little quilt?

  31. Thinking of you Corey.
