Puts my door knocker to shame… however I think my bass doorbell is up to the challenge.
take care, g xo
Ohhh the beautiful hand!
ITs the letting go that is can be so darn hard-especially when you know you just haveto; yet, every fiber of your being is clinging like a baby Orangutan .

letting go is one of the hardest things to do…but so essential for healthy relationships…Nel xo
Does love ever really let go?Or does the hand of love carry us for a while sometimes?
I love French door knockers. I would love to collect them and hang them all an a lovely old French door to show them off.
Thanks for that Corey, very apposite for what we are going through right now. Letting go in the trust that something else is coming along to fill the space, better and taking us where we are supposed to be going to fulfil our destiny.
Letting go can be complicated, can’t it?
Amen and how true.
Blessings and much love
Jeanne
I wish the hand of love was so wise.
Perfect! (sighing a satisfied little sigh)
Are you going to continue this theme clear up until Valentine’s Day? What a BEAUTIFUL treat for the rest of us!!!
Your entry today left me speechless…
Beautiful, powerful, meaningful, so moving and breathtaking…
It switched me off for a good while; I just couldn’t think, I just couldn’t make a move, sitting in front of my screen, staring at it… (My eyes litterally glued to it…)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I agree with you:
Hands are for giving
Hands are for holding
Hands are for loving
And now let me sing:
“Prendre un enfant par la main
Pour l’emmener vers demain…”
(=holding a child by the hand to take him/her towards tomorrow…)
Words written and sung by French Y. Duteil
(When this song came out, many couples played it in church while having their child christened)
I’ve heard the symbol of the hand signifies Gods protection.
Corey, I am still enjoying your words and photographs daily. Your photography is so beautiful and your words inspiring…February has always been my favorite month…my favorite holiday, Valentine’s, and my birthday a week before…and now my husband’s birthday the day before mine! Your words have been very special the last few days. Come see me….I posted again. My goal of weekly is not quite being attained, but I am progressing. Critiques? And thank you for visiting before!
A very special post!!!
It takes a lifetime to learn these lessons
Knock-knock!
Can Corey come outside…I wanna go to le marche au puces with her…?
I love it!!
Thank you for sharing such beauty with us Corey as always it is a lovely way to begin my day.
XO
Kristen
The letting go is the hardest part. Letting go of your little loves is so frightening. We know how dangerous life can be. But we must be brave and let go so that they can grow stronger. I let go and they DID become stronger.
I always thought that the pain I felt with my first huge 18 year old break up many years ago was simply, the pain of heartbreak. That was until my aunt passed away 2 years ago. I felt the same feeling i felt with my break-up. I realized it was the simple yet awful feeling of “loss.”
Letting go can be good though, the loss I felt with my first love led me to such a wonderful place…And then my path unfolded. Letting go can be good. Letting go of pain for the loss of my aunt was very peaceful. Thank you for your lovely images, they send me…

The dictionary has a long list of definitions for ‘Giving’; this one is my favourite: to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation.
I have never seen a more interesting door knocker, and I love your wise saying.
Have a good Sunday,

That is a lovely hand. And your words combined with it ring so true. Very thought-y.
What wise words, Corey. It says so much for so many circumstances, as great truths often do.
