The Angel

There is an angel nearby. Sitting next to our thoughts and keeping beat with our hearts. Listen can you hear it calling to you…asking you to fly, to dare, to believe with what you hold to be true?

Break away from the stone and soar.

Have you ever felt the wings of an angel?

  1. Yes I have felt my Mother’s Angel wings many times since she was called to Heaven.
    She is always with us.
We now have our own personal
    Guardian Angel.
    How blessed.
Someday we will share eternal life together.
    Love you
    Jeanne

Love the thought of breaking away from stone and flying. Your unique voice makes it sound possilbe.

  4. There are things I’m going to do to chip away at that stone and soar to the heights where I was meant to be. (one of those things is to make that trip out to see you!!).

  5. My angel’s been nudging me to do something which I finally did yesterday. Now I can let go of the outcome. I showed up, took action, and did my part.

  11. The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone.
    George Eliot (1819 – 1880)

  12. Sometimes I see huge angel wings in the clouds, so immense as to be inconceivable, but there is always a smaller me-sized one around to look after me and my family on an every day level.

  13. Breaking away :: will it tear my wings? Dare :: should I take the risk? Angel :: are you calling? help me listen ~(cry of a procrastinator)

  14. When I get flummoxed with a home repair or art project I can feel my Dad guiding me in the correct direction. Even though he passed away many years ago, it feels like he is still watching out for me.

  15. Corey I have seen many stone angels in the last two weeks. Most of them as old as the one shown here, and I wondered who else has looked upon them and wished they could fly.
To spread their wings and soar, to attain their hopes and wishes, if only in their dreams.
Cherish these moments and spread your wings.
Hugs to you and your family.
    xx

  16. Corey,
Once, when I was 17 years old. It scared the devil out of me until she spoke.

“Your whole body, from wingtip to wingtip, is nothing more than your thought itself, in a form you can see. Break the chains of your thought, and you break the chains of your body too…
… we’re free to go where we wish and to be what we are” Jonathan answered, and he lifted from the sand and turned east, toward the home grounds…

Forgot to TRY and answer your question:
I can feel wings at times…maybe an angel… but I keep thinking it’s a dove… a beautiful white singing dove… (and I know her name).

  21. Funny, here I am again, waking up at 4:44 AM, unable to sleep, wondering why I cannot move out of this old house and old job, hearing angels speak to me of how to relax and let go of fear…fly free …. finally arising at 5:55 AM to read this post about letting go and flying free. Synchronicity…another magic morning, another magic moment, yet we have fear – not believing that magic and love are with us. Fear not! There is magic everywhere!

Amaro men ROCK. More to the point — beneath the surface beat hearts of pure gold — especially in the family patriarch — your dad. He truly is a man for all seasons. I have two handsome Amaro brothers too, but four ….. I’m at a loss for words.
