So true. I was just thinking about this yesterday as I went through a box of photographs.
That’s the most beautiful hourglass I have ever seen. Old things, and unique handmade things have such spirit don’t you think?. -
How fleeting is our life, when measured in grains of sand. One day the hour glass will turn over and there will be nothing left. What better reason to run barefoot through the sand while we are able.

At Fauchon’s afternoon tea, they give you a tiny “minute” glass holding pink sand to time your tea.

The other day I was thinking about the passage of time – enjoying my granddaughter and realizing I didn’t “feel” like a grandmother. Such fond memories of growing up with my grandmothers…..how they taught me about flowers, crochet, baking, and well, yes, love.
Life is such a fleeting thing. *sigh*

when we got married, Husband gave me a watch that is engraved with “what is time when we have forever”….I thought of it when I saw this picture.
