Say say oh Playmate….

Dollhead3

Bright and early this morning Corey took the that super-duper fast train to Paris. I thought since she left I’d let you know….

By the way….Don’t you think I have the prettiest eyes and the cutest lips (?!) and to think she has me living in a cupboard!

She told me as she was rushing out the door, "I’m going to do the cafe thing with friends, take a peek into some pretty pastry shops, lick windows, say oh la la alot, maybe take 500 photos."

Sure sure sure…If I know her she will spend her time hanging out with old things at the antique market.

"Say say oh playmate, come out and play with me, and bring your dolly sweet, climb up the Eiffel tower…" Some girls have all the luck. At least I got the cute little nose and the perfect eyebrows!

Stay tune…a week of posting from Paris is going to be an eye full!

Oh I almost forgot…Corey asked me to ask you:

"If there is something you would like to see of Paris, tell me and I will try my darn-est to take a photo of it, and post it here. (Orama, better known as my brother, keep it clean!"

Early morning here in Trondheim (Norway) as well, and I am taking an early train down to Oslo. For a meeting, but as always I sneak in time for tourists and friends when I travel. And I bring my camera 🙂
Will think of you as I stroll along!

  2. I’d like to see geraniums….
    but that’s just me.

Guarding your chocolate cupboard whilst you are out and about Paris with the Chocolate Queen? Oh my, how clever, to leave Madame Watchful Eyes at home! 🙂

  10. Ah Paris!!
Lucky, lucky you. May I be just a wee bit jealous for a moment? I SO want to go back for the 3rd, 4th time!!
If you happen by the Eiffel Tower, perhaps a shot of the little lake beneath it. Feller and I had the BEST, most romantic picnic at twilight there. We watched the tower begin to twinkle with its millions of lights and the sun setting…it was bliss. It is one of the prettiest places in Paris to me…just serene and beautiful and restful with all the trees and flowers. LOVE the willows!
Also, the giant thumb. Yeah, that would be cool. It surprised the heck out of me when I found it….this big, giant gold thumb monument sticking up. Made me laugh…and wonder why and what it stands for.
Have a great time and share with all of us stuck here. *sigh*

Oh Paris, have a wonderful time! I would love to see store interiors, fashion, antique markets…patisseries, oh you might as well use up your film 🙂 Above all, enjoy!

  12. Me again….I forgot to ask for a market shot of Clingnancourt. I am almost certain you will visit since it has THE BEST antique stalls around – a whole quaint little village of them! We were so caught up in the atmosphere and we had a little drama with a band of pickpockets, so I didn’t get as many pictures as I would have liked. Soooo, maybe a few delicious shots of that magical place?
    Merci!!
    Corey responds:
Antiques never heard of them 😉

  18. Deb Lewis

OH! And PLEASE take a picture of a cheese vendor’s goodies!!! XOX
    Corey Responds:
Consider it done! I know a wonderful cheese shop right around the corner from where I am staying. I’ll post it during the week.

  24. Bossy thinks your doll is going to bring thin eyebrows back into vogue.
    Corey Responds:
Thin like a pencil, and ruby red lips.

  25. Cousin Linda

Love to see a photo of the Sacre Coeur (the “big white church”). You, Yann and I entered during an evening mass. You told me that there had been constant prayer in that church from the time it was built. Tears streamed down my cheeks, as they often did when I entered many of the great European cathedrals. We then went to a nearby small cafe for dinner. Did we have fondue? Wonderful memory. Thanks for ressurecting it.

  26. Have a café-crème for me, preferably at Place Colette (off the rue de Rivoli), but most of all have a great time!

  27. Can barely wait! Anything you spy will delight my eye! Wish I could fit in your pocket…
    Corey Responds:
Ulla I went into a small quaint chocolate shop called Charlotte’s. Well it should have been called: Ulla’s Paradise. It was YOU from the get-go! I kept saying, “This is sooooooooooooooooo Ulla!!”

  28. Well I can’t wait to see the pictures. My request would probably be the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.
    Have fun I am jealous!
    Corey responds:
I’ll put it on my list!
I have fond memories of the Eiffel Tower. My brothers Mathew and Zane came to visit me when I lived here 15 years ago. They climbed to the top, while I sat under a tree on the Champ de Mars and took a nap…I was Seven months pregnant with Chelsea.

  29. Wishing you a fabulous time! Enjoy every moment of your visit in the beautiful City of Lights. Would love to see a photograph of the lovely river Seine.
    Bonne Journee Cherie!!!
    */:-)
    Corey Responds:
I’ll post the Seine river. I saw so many lovers at the Seine today. Kissing in the spring light. Ever so romantic!!

    Corey responds:
Of course! And I will ask Mona Lisa to tell us her secret!

  32. Oh my; an unusual aspect of something everyone would know.

  33. The French Nest

Corey – I think you already know what I want to see…the Eiffel Tower! Otherwise known as the ‘coeur de la France’ Or, a picture of any of the beautiful French markets!

  34. Paris! I’ll enjoy seeing all your photos but I do like the idea of seeing pics from a fleamarket. What about a cool little gallery? Where are most of the little, independent galleries located in Paris? In a certain neighborhood or all over? Oh, I know…a night scene!

  35. oh corey in Paris with her camera, what a treat this will be. Dolly I think you should eat all her chocolates you watch over in that cupboard while she is gone.
Corey this was wonderful how you wrote this and I laughed outloud at the line and to think she has me living in the cupboard.

  36. Pauline Clarke

    Something chocolate and delectable, please…

  37. parisbreakfasts

That dolly looks a lot like you, cherie!

  38. Anastasia

Oh sweetie you are so deserving of more attention – a cupboard?!! I think you need an explanation!
Tell Madame Corey to pop into Rue Cler not far from Le Tour Eiffel for that is where we stayed during our visit…the lovely cheese shop and bakery…it will bring back some lovely memories!
