  8. How many other butterflies are carved into stone, I wonder? This is the first one I’ve seen.

  9. This is the first time I’ve seen a butterfly carved in stone too.

Lovely! And if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life it’s that few things are carved in stone. We have to challenge, question, change things.

I love old buildings! They just are not made like this anymore! The detail is beatiful!
    It almost looks 3-D!
    Beautiful!

  22. So much of the life we life is based on state of mind, isn’t it? I don’t think I’ve ever seen butterflies on a capital (or any architecture for that matter); this is a little treasure all its own. Where did you find it?

  23. Ok, if I’d seen the last line I wouldn’t have asked about where you found it. It’s wonderful 🙂

What a striking photo of the carvings. Stationary butterflies reminding us to keep moving, eh?

  33. Thank you for this beautiful image today – and for giving the butterfly flight with your words.

  34. Just as we cannot allow our self imposed limitations hold us back. We must keep our eyes on the prize, and keep those obstacles where they really are, figments of our imagination. Stone butterflies have alot to teach!
Go see my post, I posted the yellow and blue sheets for you!
    Have a great day.
