This way to the Brocante

                Colorfulroadsigns

Sunday morning bright and early.

A crosissant in one hand, my camera, and keys in the other.

I am off to one of my favorite brocante (flea markets) in France!

Photo: Road sign on the side of the road. Firewood and ducks are on sale.

Guessing game tomorrow and trust me it is really hard!

The – what are they? chickory and poppies? are beautiful – and match the sign so nicely. 🙂
(and firewood and ducks… Kind of like finding bacon and… velvet or something equally unlikely, for sale together).

  37. martina

The signs remind me of the ones we would see on childhood road trips to California. Thanks for the smile.

  39. PresentPast Collection

Take me! Take me! Take me! Well, I guess taking your camera is the next best thing! Looking forward to your photos.

  40. Podcastin’ Cyndi

Today, it struck me how you are the French “Pioneer Woman.” When I think about Ree’s blog, I think people are attracted to her celebration of the ordinary things in her life…..she makes the ordinary seem extraordinary. You, too, I think have this gift. For you, I’m sure this life you’re living seems normal, but to us who peek in, it seems charmed and charming beyond words. Ahhh, the human condition – the grass is always greener on the other side of the Atlantic!

  41. Merisi’s Vienna

I forget if I commented already yesterday, I sure walked by, following you to all the way on your brocante excursion. If I only could remember the loot you took home! Must have fallen out of my dream before you showed them to me.

  47. susanna

I LOVE this photo, Corey! I know, I know, I always write that and I always mean what I write but this photograph is gosh darn beautiful! Have you thought of selling some of your images as postcards?

  48. Beautiful photograph Corey. A sunny day to go to the market! xo

  49. Frenchgardenhouse

It looks wonderful! I had to laugh about your post after this “”Oh goodie here comes that crazy American who loves to buy junk!”
I swear that when I lived in Holland, that’s what they would say. (when I lived there shabby wasn’t in at all, and no Dutch person ever bought the weird stuff I did!)
I am glad that you have the fabulous brocante markets to go to. When the weather is nice, nothing beats it!
    Lidy

  50. Sadie Olive
