Silent Partner

                 Stainglass

There is a calm after a storm,

A place where the ground is tender and bares our footprints.

Where raindrops wait on petals, delicately, like a diamond from nature.

There is a place after a storm which holds it hand towards us.

The path is new, we are not alone, life’s spirit is a silent dance partner asking us to hold on.

  9. collecting…
    and in the now
    of summer
    beach rocks
    that warm in the sun
    and bathe
    in the rain
    and lake water
    especially
    the heart shaped ones
    harder to come by
    … and now
    the addition
    of rose petals
    hard and soft
    together

    Corey,
I have long bookmarked your page but have not visited it in a while. And as if there was a gentle wind, a silent force that urged my fingers to wander through your link, I clicked on your blog and saw your wonderful entry….and I just cried..
Nothing is more fitting than your beautiful words of hope and it invigorates me — I am in the process of getting a divorce…finding a new place, starting a photography business — on my own for the very first time with 2 kids in tow…I am nervous but not scared and I am happy. And I know HE is there beside me. Thank You!

Beautiful words, thank you I needed this.x

  19. Thank you for this poem , Like another person who commented there is a divorce situation — Not mine , but my daughters — I will send her a note with these words — God is faihful and we will have Joy again – My young grandchildren are so hurt , it seems so unfair — life for them should be joy and discoveries — reality has come too soon to their little lives — He is a loving father ,so that is a blessing – My tears fall as I wanted the fairytale ending to their problems . Thank you for being a person of such heart .

  20. We all have a time in our lives when we really need to hear these words. What you say is absolutely true I have no doubts.
    xoxo
