  1. Absolutely!
But just recently, some creature stole it!
I hunted them down and made sure I got it back!

  2. yes i do! yet sometimes it can be stormy in front of my door and strong northern wind is able to catch my key for quiet a while. up until now i always managed to get it back and always will i think!

  3. AT times in life the key to happiness is just the right fit at other times the key seems to drop, and is fragile and a few attempts to open …………viola
My strong faith, my family and my friends are what moves my soul……..
The man whispered, “God, speak to me,” and a meadowlark sang, but the man did not hear. So the man yelled, “God, speak to me,” and the thunder rolled across the sky, but the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, “God, let me see You,” and a star shone brightly, but the man did not see. And the man shouted, “God, show me a miracle,” and a life was born, but the man did not notice. So the man cried out in despair, “Touch me, God, and let me know You are here,” whereupon God reached down and touched the man. But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

  7. Good Morning Corey:
    Yes
    Peace
    carole

  8. Yes!!! It has opened a myriad of doors.

  9. Oh YES! I have a heavy chain with many, many keys. Old keys, new key, broken keys, pretty keys. I need all the keys I can get. You never know when your going to have to unlock a new door to happiness. It’s good to be prepared!

For a while I miss placed my keys. But lo and behold there they were. How could have those been misplaced when they are so valuable? They weren’t lost, I just could not see them, they were there all the time! XOXOXO Pinkie

Oh yes, we do hold the key. At least the key to choose how we live and respond to life. We don’t always use it or keep it safe in our sight, however.
Thanks for visiting my blog, I’ve enjoyed reading yours, what an exciting life you get to lead! I was in Paris last November. Came in on The Orient Express from Venice, that was a very fun and memorable experience! I only remember a few words from high school French, but fortunately everyone seemed to be able to communicate to me in English, or at least understand MY English enough to point me in the right direction! It was kind of funny actually, I’d speak in English, they’d answer in French but somehow we got our message across.
So nice to meet you, Corey!

  12. Yes! Right now the key is the end of rice harvest!! Well that door will not unlocked until the end of october. But harvest is always a good change of pace and the office is busy. We all look forward for it to start and then can’t wait for it to get over! To many hours dark when we get to work and dark when we leave. Good thing we all get long and can joke and tease. And some of the reallllly nice truckers bring us fresh baked donuts!!!!!! Have a great day! Jeanette

  13. Yes, I do… and that key can always be found in the special folds of my heart, so it is never lost…

  14. Definitely. Yes.
I used to think the key lay in other people’s hands, but I learned that the key is in my hands and to never let it go. Sometimes it gets snatched away when I’m not looking, but I always take it back. A hard lesson learned is never forgotten.
    xoxo

  15. Absolutely!

  16. Franca Bollo

Well, actually my bottle of Prozac holds it.

  17. Why yes I do Corey. I think everyone holds the key to their own happiness. It helps to have other people, but only you can hold the key.
    Have a great day!
    Rosemary

  18. thankfully i know i don’t but i forget sometimes..

  19. i know that i do and i try so hard to stay true to the fact. not to feel so defeated that i cannot win again, not to feel so unmotivated that i cannot accomplish again.
i hold my key to happiness!

  20. Happiness is not locked away – it surrounds us. All we have to do is open our eyes and ears, our hearts and minds, and there it is, and was, all the time

  21. Yes, I do. Atleast most days I think! Somedays I forget that I hold the key…but I eventually find it again.

  22. My Lord is my key!

It has taken me until my mid 30’s to realize that I, and only I, hold the key to my happiness. Other people may help me shine this key when it gets tarnished, or help me find it when it’s lost, but ultimately it’s up to me to unlock the door. Thank you Corey, you amaze me, and inspire me to reach down with-in and find something better in myself than I thought was there.

  24. When visiting my late Mother’s neighbor in England, with my 8 y.o. granddaughter, she saw a large key in a bowl with other old, rusty ones. She picked it up staring at it. The woman told her it was actually the key to her great-grandmother’s back door and would she like it. She was thrilled at this memento, never having actually met my Mother. I like to think that this child now holds the key to HER happiness!

I am hopeless with keys… I can leave them anywhere and have to search every single room in the house for hours to finally find them … in my pocket!
While searching, my husband often says: “try the fridge !”.
I’m pretty sure the key of happiness is somewhere here… in this house. Can’t remember where exactly though…
Should I get to the fridge right now?

  28. Caffienated Cowgirl

I’d like to think I do…always trying to be a “glass half full” kind of girl.
    Fabulous lock…

  29. You are amazing Corey! Last week prompt on: Writer’s Island was “the key…”
And answering your question: I guess yes, I have the key to my hapiness even if it doesn’t always depends on me…and when it does…I may not find the door….:)
A big hug! (and yes, I am jalous you still can go swimming!)

  30. i don’t know… sometimes i think i do have it but most of the times no… sad =(

  31. qualcosa di bello

    i most certainly do!!!!
no matter what happens around me, i can choose happiness…
it is not always the easiest choice, but i am still the keeper of my happiness key!

  33. Lovely lock. But the key, hmm, that’s the question…yes, I think we all do – but the trick is remembering it’s in our pocket, then fitting it into the lock…

  34. dear Corey – scrolling through your recent posts – swimming in the joy and pleasure you so generously share with us – and now I can go to bed – I have visited with the Muse…
