WISH!
I wish love will grow and spread -as dandelions seeds- to let peace enter hearts and into the Earth
My first wish is for peace, love and understanding to fill everyone’s hearts, particularly here in South Africa at the moment, but all over the world too….
How many dandelions do I need for that?!
I have only one wish – That I die before my children.
Quite an apt link I think

Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions
Author Unknown
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take – but by the moments that take our breath away.”
When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard.
My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away.
My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.
When I hear music I love, I know I can’t carry a tune and don’t have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen.
My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don’t know them, they make up their own.
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk.
My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.
When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.
My kids say, “Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don’t want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy.”
When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets.
My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross, and worms to play with.
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children!
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
Not dandelions!! I am trying not to use poisons in my yard and garden and so I have to pull them out by hand….I have nightmares about dandelions!!
The only wish I have right now is for sunshine and fair weather for all of us everywhere…
Hope you are doing o.k.
God bless.

Wishing for us all to listen to each other. Really listen.
I have so much to be thankful for, but today I do have a wish that isn’t about love or health or peace. Today I wish for the people who are interested in one of our houses gives us a decent offer, and buys it.

Dandelion Thoughts
Folklore says that blowing the seeds off a dandelion is said to carry your thoughts and dreams to your loved one. At least, so they say… Source: “Unusual Vegetables, Something New for this Year’s Garden,” Rodale Press Emmaus, PA.
“Are you separated from the object of your love? Carefully pluck one of the feathery heads; charge each of the little feathers composing it with a tender thought; turn towards the spot where the loved one dwells; blow, and the seed-ball will convey your message faithfully. Do you wish to know if that dear one is thinking of you? blow again; and if there be left upon the stalk a single aigrette, it is a proof you are not forgotten. Similarly, the dandelion is consulted as to whether the lover lives east, west, north, or south, and whether he is coming or not.” Source: “The Child and Childhood in Folk-Thought,” by
Wishing you brighter days, a lighter heart, and healing.
Sweet Dandelion Wishes!
Dearest Corey;
Dr. Lehman’s Dandelion Wine
4 quarts dandelion flowers
4 quarts boiling water
4 pounds sugar
1 lemon
2 oranges
Pour boiling water over the flowers. Let stand 24 hours. Than boil 20 minutes. Put in the rind of the lemon and orange in when boiling. Strain through colander. Add the pulp of the lemon and orange sliced in when it is lukewarm. Add a tablespoon of yeast and let stand a week. Than strain it through cheesecloth and put it up. Keep a month before using. If you put it in a jar, do not tighten all at once(the lid)(Don’t seal too soon or you will over-pressure the bottles)
(~This is from Doc Lehman of Mountville,Pennsylvania)
I would like to try this wine myself! I just love the sound of it…Dandelion Wine. It sounds so romantic ;D
Dandelion salads are great too.
My wish is for world hunger to end. I think anything is possible and this to me would be a most wondrous occurence…let’s raise our glass to a world without hunger.
xoxo

The flower of children! I remember blowing those seeds all over the garden and thinking that with so many seeds my wishes had a better chance of coming true! But today I wish you and your family joy in your sorrow and light at the end of the day.

Hey Corey, did you know some people fry dandelions and eat them. I have tasted them…I can’t say I liked them….but to each their own.
blessings and love
Corey,
Thank you for causing us to think about this. I don’t like to use my words lightly, so I had to think about what I wish today. Then I remembered your post a few days ago about your friends birthday, and her desire for a memory. My husband and I have been very busy lately, and have not had alot of time together. We are beginning a 3 day weekend, and I have placed much expectancy on our time together, and this is what I desire for it-a memory. We have created many precious memories in our past, and I am ready for more.
Again, thank you. Although we do not know one another, I value your words. Blessings to you and your family today.
The First Dandelion
Simple and fresh and fair from winter’s close emerging,
As if no artifice of fashion, business, politics, had ever been,
Forth from its sunny nook of shelter’d grass–innocent, golden, calm
as the dawn,
The spring’s first dandelion shows its trustful face.

Dear Dandelion,
I’ve never considered you a weed to be pulled out or mown down. Right now your tribe is dotting the green grass outside my window, unfettered and free. Thank you for the beautiful sight.

LOVE TO YOU, Corey!
I don’t have a quote but I’ve been thinking a lot about dandelions, probably due to the fact that I have a bumper crop of them this year! LOL! God gave us dandelions – dandelion greens are supposed to be good in salads, dandelion root is healing and dandelion wine is pretty good! Plus they’re bright yellow and cheerful. So who decided they’re bad and that we should try and kill them off? π Wish. Marva

Raising a tall, chilled glass of dandelion wine and WISHING only good things and great times for you Corey!
βThe miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.β
Wishing you happiness! This is a picture of a giant dandelion that was taken at Ice House Road in California. http://dweathers-gast.blogspot.com/
My wish is to have an autographed, first edition of the book I know you will write some day. The link is about the book called “Dandelion Wine” by Ray Bradbury. For 12 years he wrote about his childhood and this book is a culmination of those writings wrapped up into a single summer.
Corey, you are filled with stories just waiting to come out and I’m sure that some day you will write your own “Dandelion Wine”.
