Nature’s Mantra is a Healing Grace

IMG_1480 The steady roar of the ocean,

breaking forth, then residing,

breathing in, breathing out,

A rhythmic nature mantra.

It is such a gift to be soaking my soul

with the sight and sounds of the Pacific.

I have always found the sea to be immensely calming. Years ago I had a health issue which caused me huge anxiety. My father used to drive me to the sea whatever the time of day or year and it brought me calm. Ever changing and ever beautiful. Glad it brings you comfort Corey. Peace & luv, J.

I have never seen the Pacific ocean… I can only imagine it, and set it looks and sounds like the Atlantic …
I prefer the Mediterranean Sea… because it has no tide…
Now after reading your post, I think the ocean (whichever) would have suited my mind and my heart when some events stormed into my life…
    Nature can help.
At the moment, you focus on its wild waves, your mind and your heart being rocked by their restless rythm …
and one day your mind will come to simply surf on them , and from that wildness and that restlessness, your heart will have gathered buckets of pebbles and seashells…
    Keep looking and listening.

Nature in all her glory is soothing and calms the restless soul.
From the sound of the sea, the delicate fragrance of a flower, to dark stormy clouds overhead it’s transitions are like life; gentle and sweet for a time, dark and challenging in another.
Envelope yourself in all it’s glory as you begin to heal and thankful for all it’s beauty that surrounds you.

It really clears your mind. I wish I was there Corey. Unfortunately I’m landlocked. Instead of the ocean, we rely on the rustling of the ocean of cornfields in the midwest.
I’m glad you are taking the time to decompress and recharge yourself.

    Corey,
You make me long for the beach. There is something soothing and healing in the sights, sounds, and smells of the sea. Wishing you and your family continued healing.

  9. I love the ocean’s coming and going. It’s like the breathing of the tide reminds me to breath… to take life one day at a time. Slowly washing over me and bringing refreshment to my soul. I pray that you continue to find comfort and healing in the beauty of God’s nature that surrounds you.

What a breath-taking, serene place… If you ever visit the East Coast, I’ll take you to the NJ shore. It’s beautiful, too. 🙂

    Dear Friend,
Looks like a great healing place.
Do you know, after my father died, my mom and I were at the beach in Ca. That is where I found my first heart shaped rock. It is just one of the symbolic gestures and gifts I have received!
    Thinking of you!

    precious corey
it is my dream to live near the ocean. For me it is mother natures womb.
how blessed you are to be near this unexplainable calm.
You all continue to be in our prayers-your words where in my mind and heart as we said goodbye and celebrated the amazing life of my beloved father-in-law.
    How is your mom??

I’ve only recently found your blog… I hope you are healing. I just lost my beloved Bennie in Jan… she was like my mother.. You ask a few posts back if anyone felt the same way..Yes, I can hear Bennie speaking! The other day, I thought I caught a whif of her wonderful perfume!
Your blog is lovely and from what I can tell..your heart too! Have a wonderful weekend.
