Rose Tea

                          Teacup-with-roses-coreyamar

Take a heaping handful of dried rose petals place them in a teapot, add a bag of green tea and pour two cups of boiling water into the teapot. Let it steep for thirty seconds, then strain the rose tea into your prettiest teacups.

Drink tea, think lovely thoughts that is it for the day.

I heard this song on the radio and it keeps playing in my head, El Perro del Mar Inner Island. I tried to find it  on YOU TUBE and instead found another one by the same artist called: You’ve Gotta Give to Get Back.

Drink tea and enjoy the music! What is your favorite drink and music these days? If you can share it here and add a link to it. Merci!

  1. We have rose green tea too!!! Only we use rose water instead of rose petals. Just tip a little into a glass of iced yerba mate and mmmmmmmmmmmm, it’s like drinking a flower garden. Orange blossom water is another nice thing to add. 🙂
My favorite drink is iced coffee….iced French Roast with stevia for sweet and a splash of raw whole milk…ohhhhhhh it’s heaven in a glass!

Have you ever heard the singer, Enya? The song you posted sounds like her music. I think you’d like her a lot if you haven’t heard her music and songs already.
My favorite drink is sweet, light coffee. Lately, I’ve been into Amy Winehouse’s music. While I don’t believe in the lyrics of the following song (luckily I’m very much in love!!!), I like the way the lyrics are worded and the way it sounds.
I hate that such a talented singer has such a messed up life. I hope she accepts help soon!!

  8. Love the songs and their message…good choice, Corey. Your tea recipe sounds delicious and your tea cup and saucer…well, I’m trying not to covet. My favorite teas are Orange Dulce (for breakfast) and White Orchard from Mighty Leaf Tea Co. (for evening) and Illy espresso coffee from www.wholelattelove.com. for an afternoon pause. Rituals — gotta have my rituals.

  9. The tea sounds wonderful. I’ll bet it is also good iced.

My favorite tea is Harrod’s Earl Grey No 42. I have brewed a fresh pot just before sitting down and visiting you. I am drinking it out of a white bone china cup decorated with black and silber clefs, while listening to Berlioz’s Symphony Fantastique.
I wish you a wonderful afternoon!

You know, I heard this song somewhere and thought it was really good – which it is. I just didn’t have a pen to write the musician’s name down. So thank you, Corey, for the link. 🙂
Favourite drink these days? Usually iced coffee but lately it’s been an apple ice tea.
Favourite music these days? I’ve been listening to Six Degrees Label’s podcast on itunes radio (it’s free). They change their podcast every Wednesday. I particularly like it when they play the modern Indian music. 🙂

  23. Betty @ She’s Sew Pretty

Ice water and Andrea Bocelli-Live in Tuscany. As for rose tea, World Without End by Ken Follett is set in a cathedral turned hospital run by monks and nuns and the nuns use rose water to bathe people who have fevers and injuries. Very interesting reading.

  25. I like tea, black, with silence, or a light rain, straight falling, no wind. But when I read this article http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/reviews/tea-and-opera-pittville-pump-room-cheltenham-867470.html
    I think of you 🙂
