A Glass of Roses

                      Rosebuds

Oops. Oh no, this is not the guessing game post that I promised yesterday. I ran out of daylight to take the photo of the item that I have found.  Sometimes my good intentions become clouded by either my forgetfulness, over-planning or a diversion of the path… actually I am rarely on a path, and my forgetfulness plays havoc on most of my best-laid plans. Daydreamers (or I should say someone like me,) tend to not only stop and smell the roses, they become the roses.

I will post it tomorrow. Really I will, I promise!

So until tomorrow enter into the scenery that surrounds you.

  3. I love being a daydreamer but also suffer from forgetfulness lol! I think for the most part it’s a lovely way to be 🙂
Love the post anyway, and the picture is just gorgeous. I can almost smell it from here 😉

  6. I’ll take the roses, I’m really bad at guessing games. Not to say that stops me from trying, LOL!

  7. *sniiiiifffffffffffff*, draws in a big snootful of beautiful rose scent! Lovely!

  8. Oh, Corey — how lovely to have permission to think of myself as a dreamer — without guilt — rather than a menopausal woman with an estrogen-depleted brain. Thank you!!!!

    Dear Corey,
This post brought a smile to my face! I love the way you put things!!!
I have a new email address because my computer conked out…and this is my daughter’s computer. I hope to get a new one in the future…after we get back from New Mexico.
Thinking of you and your family…your posts have helped me so much… this will be a difficult week for my family and for me… as we say a final farwell to my husband Frank. His death was on the 30th of Janurary and we are going to meet his family for his Mass and Buriel on the 28th of July in Villa Nueva.
Your words have brought me comfort again!
    Thank you dear Corey!
    Love and Peace,
    Leslie

  10. Oh, I never get those games right…..
How are the young lovers doing?
I just love that backyard bed. It would blow away here ……. too much wind. I ususally curl up on the back patio wicker love seat….I’m short so it works.

  11. Don’t smell the rose, become the rose …
    how brilliant, Corey!

  12. Beautiful roses Corey!

It is so nice to see you coming back to us! Your healing shows in your writing.

  14. We just have to roll with the flow and not let ourselves be overburdened by expectations, realized or not. I promised my readers pictures of the bull riding competition at the fair. Guess what? I quickly found out how human and age-appropriate forgetful I am. The batteries in both my cameras died within five minutes of walking in the arena. I’d forgotten to charge them!

The lavender stems here were too stiff to make the umbrellas or wands yesterday. So, I put some of the nearly done buds in a bowl and the whole living room smells of summer. Keep on daydreaming, it is very restorative to the soul.

  16. LOL. When I first saw the picture I was thinking “wow. this guessing isn’t so hard!” I’ll be waiting with bated breath for tomorrow’s post!

  17. I can relate, being abstract, random and creative myself! It is fun being a rose!

  18. Guessing game? Who remembered that when those beautiful and poetic roses-in-a-glass popped up. Whenever I see roses in bud I think: Promise and hope. Your pictures are poetry for me. If you remember to post the game I hope I remember to come by and guess. : ) Well, I’m off to find the promise and hope in this fine day. ~bye~

  19. ah!!!!!!!!!! smelling the roses…love to stop and smell the flowers..it is like opening the windows to my soul. I love your words of inspiration. Until tomorrow
