On the Way to Blogging Today

IMG_6130

I turned on the computer,

Sat down,

Looked at the screen,

Scratched my head,

Searched my heart pockets,

Mind wandered over a million thoughts-

but none became crystal clear.

Stomach grumbled.

It happens, not often, but today it reigned,

I grew a blank.

So instead of scrambling or searching for a post.

I think I will let the blank breath, and maybe add something later.

Ah yes, bloggers block 😉 Know it all to well!!!

  5. Your writer’s block spoke powerfully, along with the image, and is just what it’s meant to be today. Thank you!

  6. Even your blanks are inspired. “Let the blank breathe…” That is good. Breathe deep, Corey.

  7. Your photographs are powerful in themselves and it is crystal clear that you have barley scratched the surface of where you are going!
    Love you Corey!

  8. I remember once last summer when you mentioned that you posted every day. EVERY DAY! I can’t believe that you think of something to write about every single day!
I’m impressed that you only now have writers block!
(And very happy too…as I love reading what you have to say every single day!)

  9. Your blank breathed fully already. The post was lovely, Corey.

  10. Sometimes we just need to sit and absorb the beauty of the day, appreciating it without words. 🙂

Blank is fine too. Mercury must be in retrograde or something because I’m just creatively uninspired lately. Or maybe it’s the fact that my son and I are grouting 1,200 sq. ft. of floor tile. Yeah, that’s it.

  15. I’m impressed that you wrote a post about having nothing to write about and still made it sound good! LOL.

  16. Phew!! So glad to know that my most inspiring blogger sometimes has “blanks” too! And you do blank so beautifully – mine feel, ummm, clunky, chunky, clumsy, just plain uninspired. Your blank is almost, almost, as inspiring as your daily post!
    Thanks for providing an opportunity to b r e a t h e . . . . .

    Hey Corey,
Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.
I have been away from the land of blog for a bit but I did not forget about your little corner of the world. I will try to catch up soon. Many blessings on your summer!

  29. M (Tales From an OC Cottage)

Gosh, it must be catching…I feel tapped out…so I shall visit for inspiration…

  31. I told you I would let you know how it went yesterday…. expected good news and GOT IT!
I went right into my principal in the am and explained the situation. She was MORE than responsive and sensitive to the situation and gave me EXACTLY what I needed.
I skipped through my day! 🙂
