The Toothless Wonder

                                IMG_0253

Maci, my niece, has something to share. She is a bit shy- though her sparkling blue eyes do not portray her as a shy girl…well unless she has her eyes closed.

Come on Maci tell me your secret.

                               IMG_0254

In French I think they would call her: Coquette!

One pearly white, one dent de lait! Maci grins so the last remaining baby tooth can take center stage.

I ask, "Do you want to take a bite of an apple?"

Maci giggles, "Aunt Coco if I take a bite of an apple my tooth will fall out!"

In which I exclaimed, "Exactly! Don't you want the Tooth Fairy to come by?" But before she could answer that

I thought to myself, maybe she IS the tooth fairy!

Very cute Corey. Keith’s little boy Alex found his 1st wobbly tooth this weekend. He was frightened and tearful until the tooth fairy and subsequent financial gain was mentioned. After that he cheered up rapidly ! Jx

    Corey,
You do have the most beautiful children in your family! You little tooth fairy is precious! When my children were young and the tooth fairy came, she left fairy dust (fine white glitter) all around a shine new fifty cent piece, fifty cent pieces being a family tradition. My daughter would gently sweep it up and keep it in a jar. My son blew it away in a big puff. They both still remember the magic of the tooth fairy. Your little tooth fairies smile is pure magic!

  19. Well she certainly IS some kind of fairy… just look at those EYES!!!!!!!

  20. I’m just sure she is a TOOTH ANGEL. 🙂

    Beautiful blue.

  22. She’s wise — let the tooth fall out naturally… I believe she IS the tooth fairy!

What a sweet, little girl. So pretty and what I would call a natural beauty, especially with her lone tooth just hanging there ripe for the pulling! I remember wrapping string around my tooth and the door knob and quickly slamming the door to get the tooth to come out. I wouldn’t recommend it. Ha Ha.

  24. Maci certainly looks delightful enough to be a fairy. Won’t be long and that tooth will be gone and she’ll be turning from child into a lovely young lady.

  25. No doubts about it Corey!… All of your nieces are sweet toothfairies!!! And you the FairyGodMother!!!

When I was Maci’s age, I was called the “butt-less wonder”. Thankfully, blogs with their photos were yet to be created.
From your fellow cabra who loves all words, even the nastiest of nasty ones.

  27. Corey,
How utterly beautiful she is! I love the angel kisses spread over her nose with her sparkling blue eyes. I have 6 adorable grandchildren between 6-9 and they too are in this splendor age of going toothless and loving what the toothfairy brings.
Hugs and thanks for the incredible smiles and lift to my day your daily post brings!

  29. Would you believe that the tooth fairy is still waiting to collect my 12 an 13 year olds baby teeth? Not to mention a mouthful of 6 and 8 year olds. We hold onto to them just like Maci. I wonder if they will be worth more like a fine vintage?

Corey, each of your photo posts these days could/should become a book! Web journals are the new form of book but each of these posts cries out for full color pages carefully bound inside hardcover.
    Charming, full of true meaning.
