Some of the things that make my heart sing in the south of France

flowers 

Flowers on every window sill and they seem to be nearly always red.

French 

Old buildings with facades that speak of a past.

Brocante 

Brocantes as plentiful as the stars in the sky.

cafe 

Cafes… where the heart can take time to spill.

Colorful facade 

The color.

cassis 

The seaside.

fatima's 

Amazing door handles (small details count!)

provencal 

The open market especially when figs, olives, mushrooms, and chestnuts are in season.

French 

French countryside scenes to paint with memories.

Frenchhusband 

and a crazy in love French Husband who cracks me up with his silliness!

    every time i look at your blog it makes me think of my years in provence and how much i miss it! you do such a good job of truly getting to the core of provence.
    i had 3 beautiful years there and my husband 15! he worked marche’s in aix, st remy and lour marin and he misses it so!
    the cafe’s, the people, the smells…vie!
