Halloween French style… is there such a thing? I am going to wear this (photo above) and it is going to be scary! French Husband is going to wear this vintage collar and nothing else.
Of course he doesn't know that yet…
but when I pull my Halloween plans,
out from my bag of tricks,
I think he will like my treats.

Well I just knew I should have stayed longer – I’m ready for your kind of Halloween!!
My parcels arrived on Wed. with my brocante and market treasures………..I am so relieved. Thank you La Poste – you did well despite charging all those Euros. Nothing broken, but happy memories of our time together in Aix brought a tear to my eye. Thanks again Corey – it was so much fun.
My other fun thing was opening Romantic Homes and seeing Judy peeking through that mirror!!! You did a fab job on the article and pics Corey – tell Judy her home looks amazing. I enjoyed hearing the story over lunch of how you worked so hard getting the article together for publication – I know you gals just had a ball!
Did you pick up a copy of Campagne yet – hope you got the e-mail about La Madone – let me know.

Bonjour Corey ( you share my nephews name, that I love dearly)
I came across your beautiful blog a few weeks ago and remembered how much I enjoyed it. Here I am again and I have spent the last 2, yes 2, hours reading, thinking, crying, enjoying.
I lost my dad 30 years ago. I still feel pain in my heart. My dad lost both his legs in the war, met my mom and had 2 girls, me being one of them. He was the happiest man and the best dad ever. He went to work every day just happy to be alive.
I still read his letters to my grandma, sisters and brothers while over seas, fighting the war, during and after his loss. I have them all. I have read them to my children, now teens many times to show them how wonderful he was. He never did get to meet them.
I also come from a nice big French Canadian family. He taught me to love life and smile. I miss him so.
Just wanted to say hello again and if you have a chance google the song from Lorrie Morgan entitled “if you came back from heaven”. I think you’ll like it, and some times scream at it.
