My year has been blessed by re-connecting with a young girl I knew on her daddy’s farm. She has grown into an amazing woman. She sees beauty in everything that surrounds her. She shares her heart openly with all. She’s a poet, an artist, and an inspiration to everyone who knows her. I’m glad we re-connected and proud to call her my friend…….Corey.

Your pick of photos for your year touches my heart, I recall many of the posts that these pictures were part of, some happy, some sad. That was my 2008 also, a year of sudden change, difficulties, tears, but also laughter and fun. All a part of our life circle of family and friends. Thank you for sharing with us, because your eyes and words touch gentle chords within me.
May we meet 2009 with strength, courage, laughter and love. Joy to you.

  16. Each New Year comes to us with a promise of a fresh start. It’s not important where our journey in life takes us it’s where we leave our footprints that count.
Let us drink a toast to Cory. Everyone have their champagne glasses ready? May you always be blessed for the joy, thought provoking, and humorous posts that you bring to everyone who reads them and may you be filled with new promises for where your life’s journey takes you.

  17. Your post is like watching the year end photo tributes they do on television. You sit there and watch saying “I remember that, wow! was that this year?” I did the same thing looking at these beautiful photos – I remember this post, that post……..thank you for re-caping your year and it’s ups and downs with us. You are a treasure!

  19. It’s been a year with loss
So many in Willows have gone, I watched my mother become a widow, I watched my children loose two grandfathers, I read your blog faithfully every day as you lost your father… but it’s also a year with great gain. I learned I’ll be a grandmother! My son moved back to town, and you and I have recommected. It’s been a wonderful year and I am grateful for God’s goodness. Bless you Corey

  32. If I had to sum up 2008, it would be my year of perpetual prayer. It seems like my prayer list grew longer each night in 2008. I found myself praying during the day, time after time (and praying multiple times some days). I prayed for friends…I prayed for family…I prayed for people I thought I knew, but really didn’t.
Here’s hoping that 2009 sees prayers of gratitude…not worry…not fear.
I pray your 2009 will be filled with happiness and rebirth.

Tres jolie, mon amie. My year was easier than yours. I think of you often although I’ve been so busy the last few weeks. When you and French Husband are ready to ride, HH and I will go.
    Bonne Annee.
I hope I wrote that right. I know it needs an accent over the “e.” My college French is rusty.~~Dee

  43. Lovely photos, as always. I particularly love that one of your daughter dressed in seaweed – it’s amazing!
My year was full of huge things – some wonderful, some not, but it’s been a very interesting ride indeed. Speaking of rides, if you all are coming through Southern California on your ride across country on your dad’s harley – we’re in the middle of fixing up an old beach house and converted garage/guest house which you are more than welcome to stay in if your trip leads you this way.
Happy New Year to you and yours. Good health, good friends and good fortune!
    xo Isa
