Eggs in a Basket

Eggs in a basket

How does that saying going carrying all of one's eggs in a basket? I know it is something like that.
Well, anyway, however the saying goes I am letting a few of my eggs roll over to my Flickr account. I never knew that I could use Flickr as a way to manage my photos.
If you are like me and like to look at photos you might want to take a peek every now and then.
Also I am letting some eggs roll over to Twitter. I am not sure if I can keep up with that but I thought I would give it a try.

Hopefully, by the end of the day I will post my Cucumber Gazpacho with mint walnut pesto recipe. But honestly cucumber soup isn't that photogenic like eggs are.

  1. I love Flickr! When I used to work for the country club, I wrote the newsletter and calendar and was always searching for artwork to put in and Flickr was a great place to look. (you could select and only see material that people didn’t mind sharing) Actually, I was looking for pictures to make a poster for “April in Paris” when I first found you!!!! But, I didn’t copy any of your photos, I promise. Just got hooked! (also, my maiden name was “Cheek” and yes, I was tortured as a kid!)

  2. I love you
You are eggstra special to me.
    Kisses
You always keep your sunny side up.
    I love you

  3. What I remember is my mom saying “Don’t put all of your eggs into one basket”. I need to investigate Flickr, too, I think, since my computer is way overloaded with photos.

  4. Cant’ wait to check out your flickr account! I love your pictures!
I’ve always used Photobucket, from years ago. I tried flickr, but it seems more confusing to me…may have to re-try!
    Twitter? That would be fun!

  5. I don’t understand twitter. Maybe you can explain that a little bit in one of your future posts – let us know what it is, how you use it, and if it is working out ok for you.

  6. Happy New Year! I have Twitter and I “let you in” but I don’t really understand what to do. Is this blogging, but in a different way?
Things are not so good financially here, so we are in a bit of a turmoil. I hope things work out this year, with a new administration.

  7. I can now get into flicker… I think! I saw some of your beautiful photos. I don’t really understand twitter or flicker but hopefully Dave can help me.

  8. “Don’t keep all of your eggs in one basket.” would certainly apply to you spreading your beautiful photos about Flickr and Twitter. I see I am not the only one who doesn’t “get” these two forums of sharing, but maybe I will take learning about them on this year!
Sometimes I think technology is too technical. 😉

  9. well- I just love Flickr! It is also a community where people can comment on your pictures and communicate by leaving notes and links and all sorts of stuff- you can edit your photos and you can create sets and then put the sets together in to collections. You can form Groups for people to join- I have doll quilt Groups and Pie Groups (for pictures of pie and pie related themes). Put in a search and find pictures tagged with whatever you are looking for- or feeling- put in Joy or Hope or beneath the Eiffel tower and suddenly there you are- looking up into the skeleton of one of the most famous and romantic sites on earth…You can also Blog from one of your photos or someone elses and then when you click on the photo on your blog it will transport you to Flickr! I am glad you joined- make me a contact- and I also am following you on Twitter- happy NEW year!!!!

  10. Happy New Year from Denmark…(where I have had a wonderful holiday)…Corey.
I have promised myself to try one new thing this year…will it be Flickr or Etsy or maybe both? We will see.

I like your basket Flickr. Unfortunately, I cannot fumble into basket Twitter… and could not see the lately laid eggs there…

  12. I’ve been on Flickr for years, but have only really fully enjoyed its pleasures for the past couple of years. It’s one of the places I’m hoping to spend some real time in ’09. Corey, wishing you and yours a blessed and Happy New Year!

  13. Like Evelyn, I used Photobucket when I had a blog because Flickr seemed like too much for me. I see Twitter and Facebook in the same basket (no eggs)–too time consuming to have to monitor more than just the e-mail correspondence I currently have. But I’m sure you can rock it, Corey!
I’m starting my year off right with a brand new key–thank you!

I love flickr! I’ve got you bookmarked, so I can enjoy all your photos. Whoopee!

  15. Hi Corey
    Happy New Year!!!
You have a lovely blog!!!! I hope this is not a stupid question but was wondering whether you sold antique papers and such….Could you let me know I am a designer from Australia…
    Thanks so much
    Cathy xx

  16. Look at YOU, Corey! You’re a bloggertrix now, with your mastering of blog-related tidbits. I’ll have to check out twitter…I’m not sure what that is…

  17. This is fabulous Corey! Another way for me to look through more of your photos. 🙂

  18. Flickr is fun and I imagine it could be quite interesting for exchanges. I don’t use it a lot but do have an account and upload most of my blogging photos and some others.
I tried to Twitter, and it was just kind of a pain. I don’t really see the point, but if you are on the computer a lot it might be fun. You do have a lot of readers, so it’s something to try.
    Have fun!
