Grey Paint. Shades of grey. Grey paint comes in at least 101 colors. Unlimited variety with staggering choices. Grey warm or Grey cold. Grey with hints of blue, or Grey with subtle tones of brown. Though this girl covers grey with blond.
When painting having the right tools help. Opening paint cans can be tricky. Why don't they have screw tops? To open a paint can most people use a screwdriver. Some use a knife. Guess what I used? My teeth.
2. First Class Painter's Brush:
Painting tools include varied sizes of brushes and rollers. If you don't know what size of a paint brush to use grab a sock.
3. Painter's Ladder:
When painting a sturdy ladder is essential. Good shoes (with a bow at the toe) to aid you with your balance on a ladder are important too.
4. Prepping before Painting: Balancing Act:
Prepping before painting saves time and clean up. Take everything out of the room that you can. That which you cannot take out cover, tape or both. Adding a paper under a paint can that is sitting on the corner of a cupboard is not the proper way of prepping.
5. Free Manicure Stylish Grey:
Wear plastic gloves when you paint to protect your hands.
6. Check List the Essentials:
Make sure you have everything that you need before you start painting. Once you start fresh paint will prevent you from stopping and fetching something you forgot…(i.e. Go to the bathroom before you start to paint!)
7. Blond Girl Covers Grey
Tie your hair back or wear a cap to prevent paint from getting in your hair. Remember to take off your rings too.
8. Miracles Happen when you are Prepared:
Corners can be tricky especially if you do not move things away. Those white towels are a miracle.
9. BORING PART OF PAINTING:
Prep the walls by lightly sanding the sealing tape's edges. Also if you putty any wall blemishes make sure to sand them too. wall blemishes. Use a primary undercoat of paint to seal the sheet rock. I did do this dusty job and it took a great deal of time.
10. Perfume is not the smell of Paint:
While you are painting open a window, or put in a fan for ventilation. You can see I did not follow my own advice on many of things. At least I covered part of the tub.
11. Hanging out with a Paint Brush.
Let the primary coat of paint dry for eight hours. Afterwards paint the first coat of color of choice on top.
Let it dry for a few hours….
The hardest part is waiting. Luckily, for me it was lunchtime.
Tomorrow I'll show you how I mixed paints to have a distressed look in our bathroom. I bet you can hardly wait!
Create joy in everything you do, or at least pretend. It makes for brighter days.
NOTE: All the photos were taken by Sacha (still not feeling well) in his PJs. I think he did a great job. I didn't even have to twist his arm. He clicked away while I painted.
