How to Sing a Love Song

Singing love songs

How to sing a love song:

1) Find a song you like.

Waltz

2) Practice singing.

Tango

3) Sing it often, throughout the year, with family and friends. Make sure it stirs you, challenges you to dance.

Love songs

4) Usually if a love song stirs you, you will sing it for a very long time and it will guide you through many a journey.

Hand writing music

5) The love song might change beat, or rhythm, or be remixed… but a love song never ends, it needs to flow.

St valentines

6) Don't worry that your voice might not be good enough, or that you might not be able to carry a tune, or that your melody might be a bit flat.

Singing a love song changes all that. Just sing and sing often.

What is one of your favorite love songs?

Mine is breakfast in bed… oh wait a minute that isn't a love… or is it?

  7. Hold me close and hold me fast
    The magic spell you cast
This is la vie en rose
When you kiss me heaven sighs
And tho I close my eyes
I see la vie en rose
When you press me to your heart
    Im in a world apart
    A world where roses bloom
And when you speak…angels sing from above
Everyday words seem…to turn into love songs
Give your heart and soul to me
    And life will always be
    La vie en rose
Hubby sings Louis Armstrong to me when we slow dance…we don’t need any other music..

    Happy Valentine’s Day, Corey!
I’ve always been partial to the ballad “The Rose” by Bette Midler. Hauntingly sweet.
Then there’s the theme song from Robin Hood (Costner’s version). Michael Bolton sings “Everything I do, I do it for you.” That’ll set your heart aflutter!

  9. Carol Kitchell

My favorite lovesong is: “I Really See You, I Really Hear You; I’m Listening With My Ears and My Heart”

to a lady who gives from the heart every day.
Your bathroom is stunning! Nice job. And since the gray makes you happy, and it’s beautiful as well, it must have been the right choice.

  27. One of my favorite songs, can I have two?
Inarticulate Speech of the Heart…Van Morrison
    Je regrette rien!….Edith Piaf
    Okay, maybe three.
    Seventeen Again….Annie Lennox

  28. SweetPeaSurry

Hmmm … since the disappearance of ‘Houdini’ I haven’t really thought much about ‘Love Songs’ more like rage filled angsty songs, but I would have to pick ….
    Absence of Fear, Jewel

  29. Oh I love a lot of love songs, how can I pick just one? Elvis Costello (She), Barry White (The First, The Last, My Everything), Edith Piaff (Je ne Regrette Rien) – tons more, they’re all playing on my blog right now 🙂
The secret? Just like they say, sing like no-one is listening! Shower singing, or better yet, driving along in the car singing, I think that’s when my voice is at it’s best. driving along making a total fool of myself 🙂 Do I care if I look foolish? Not even a little bit, the greatest benefit of getting older!

Happy Valentines Day! In the spirit of today, I’d like to share one of my many songs that I love -Bob Dylan lay lady lay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfF0uHekcc8&NR=1
It is so special that your Mother sent that message– What a tribute to how closely you are connected as mother and daughter like one heart beat– It makes me miss my mother all the more and that special bond between mothers and daughters — she passed on two years ago —
    Joanny

  31. Jend’isère

Clara’s Song by Schumann. In a film I saw during 9th grade music class, Schumann collapsed in sorrow while playing the song as his wife died. The melody is so sad and that film struck as it portrayed their true love!

  32. I like “Breakfast in Bed” also and “The look of Love”. Always moved by opera also. Jx
