French Brocante

The brocante (antique market) is in my village TODAY.
I'll give you three guesses where I will be, and the first two don't count.
More about today later on……..

You never know, maybe I'll find something to give to you!

  6. Happy Hunting!
I guess your small village is filled to the brim. Can’t wait to see your photos and read your stories.
I am having a Blue Garden day today, in the snow! The terrace is free for snow though, and the sun is shining brightly, so it will be nice. I opened The Blue Garden blog for the season, and I will write the first entry of the year in my garden diary.
    I love Sundays.

  7. Life is just not fair!!!!!!

  8. Bonne chance… find some treasures. I’ll share my mother’s best find ever. We lived in Orleans when I was a young girl. Mom went antiquing. I don’t remember a brocante, but there were old farmhouses and such that she would visit. I have her lovely sconces she found on a trip. But her best find was a bronze. She brought it home, cleaned it up and thought no more of it. Paid $15.00 for it which at that time was more than she’d ever paid for anything. It turned out to be an apres August Moreau and worth quite a small fortune today…although she didn’t care, she only bought what she liked. So happy hunting and above all have a nice day!

  19. I have been reading your blog (which I love!) for quite awhile and have an off topic question. We are going to Paris for Spring Break. I have been reading what to wear so we sort of blend in , which for a number of reason seems like a good idea. However I have no idea what my 14 year old son should wear. Can you ask your son or can you tell me please? He has hair past his shoulders and wear surf/ skateboard t-shirts all the time with tan cargo pants, black tennis shoes. Is he going to stand out too much? I guess we can always hope that he will start a new Parisian tend if he does. The travel books just say to try to blend in…He does, just not in Paris!
    Thank you
Also can’t wait to see what you get from the antique market!

  20. OH.MY.GOODNESS! I wish I lived right around the corner! I soooooooo “wanna” be there!

About.com’s Guide to Travel in France is looking for blogs about life in France to add to their list. Of course I had to recommend the wonderful Tongue in Cheek.
