Easter Joy…  Barely has the sun woken up and the children are in the garden searching for their baskets. Easter morning promises chocolate eggs, ready to hatch and bring new life.
When you were little did you have a new bonnet for Easter?

Easter outfit

French Husband's grand niece spent the weekend with us. Her family comes today for lunch. I forgot what it was like to have a little person in the house. I was reminded early this morning, with a nudge ,"Get Up Easter is Here!!!" The sun was barely shining.
But luckily, the Easter Bunny had put the baskets out last night!

May we be open and ready to receive the gift of new life and promise before us!

  21. We had our Easter egg hunt last night in the forest behind the cabin. When the boys were small they were allowed sweets/chocolates only on Saturdays, so we started our egg hunt one day early then. This tradition has remained, and was perfect this year because it gave me alot of time to prepare a blog post about it for this morning 🙂
Happy Easter to you and your family.

  22. Dog bisquits are hidden for the dogs.
    Happy Easter Corey

I’d love to have your recipe for Salmon roasted w/ fennel. I’ve never really used fennel before, but am growing some in my garden right now and am looking for uses/recipes.

  24. Happy Easter, Corey! 🙂
You ended your post today with the same word I started mine, “Rejoice”. Now I wonder whether you too had been listening to GF Haendel’s Messiah.

  25. Corey, your Easter menu sounds delish.
Happy Easter to you and your family! ((hugs))

  26. The pictures were amazing (again). It sounds like you guys are having a good Easter; hope it continues!

  27. The Easter Cat left us rat in our basket this morning. Well, is wasn’t a basket — it was the rug. And it wasn’t chocolate — it was flesh. The Easter Cat was so pleased with his gift he had to nibble off the ears … and the head … and maybe a few internal organs before we could retrieve it from his little sharp teeth and possessive furry paws.

  28. Happy Easter to you and your family. Loved the pictures and your ending words. We have much to rejoice about.
    hugs and blessings

  29. Happy Easter!

Joyful Easter to all of you. How old is the Grand niece? We saw our grand nephew this morning. He just turned one.
A few more items for the list.
    Fleur d’lis,
    pink/rose buildings,
    French blue,
lazy afternoon/evening drinks on the terrane with the setting sun, herbs de provence,
hundreds of levels of milk from liquid to solid.
I just saw a red fox outside my window! lovely
    Love and hugs, Ellen

  36. Oh Corey I’m so in love with your gorgeous gorgeous photos in this post! Especially the first cabinet card from the sweet girl with Toulon written on it. Remember that I lived there in 1985 during my fille au pair year *sigh* I miss it and the Provence too!
Sending very happy Easter wishes to you and yours dear Corey!
    xoxo Carola

  37. Charming little assemblages, Corey. Might be nice little sideline business for you, either making originals as greeting cards or perhaps selling images of the pieces as such.
    Might fund worthy indulgences!
