The Art of Giving

Annie's hand
Photography and Text by: Corey Amaro

Annie's and French Husband's hands, while talking over coffee.
The flair in her little finger, she's still got it at 89.
Got what? The desire to live life with zest, punch and a whole lotta love.

    Hand language !!!
    Thrilling and blissful post!

  2. I can just see those hands holding a dainty tea cup, pinky in the air, like all proper ladies do. 🙂

  3. Beautiful! We ‘lost’ my younger son on a dog walk yesterday (not too unnerving, as he’s nearly 11) and when we we just beginning to get worried he appeared clutching a bouquet of flowers for me, very like the little hand in your picture! I couldn’t be angry, even though he’d given me a bit of a fright…

  4. I can totally understand why my girlfriend loves your daily postings so much, it is so gentle in it’s writing and has such a beautiful affection and tenderness for the small ‘insignificant’ things in life. But as everyone knows it’s the small insignificant things that bond people and change a sad day into a happy one, a tragedy into one of hope. There is a lesson in what you write and the photos you take which deserves to be embraced.
    Thank you.

  5. You are going to really enjoy having grand children one day! I look forward to those posts too!!

We all need to be touched and caressed. I can’t think of anything more reassuring and loving than the warm touch of a hand.

  24. I suspect French husband has found the
beauty of two women in his life.
    One to call his friend,
the other to call his wife.

  25. Just beautiful~

  26. Hi Corey:
I remember a photograph you had on a post of hands; hands are so cool to me; I remember your God Mother, Mary’s, hands. Strong, slim and oh so pretty. They are like eyes; they say so much about you.
I expect you are still awake; please read your e-mail that says you are a winner on the Give Away so you can choose your present.
    peace
    carole
