Oh Boy!! The Kitchen sink arrived!!!

IMG_6740

I had planned to post about the Party we went to last night, but that took a back burner–

The KITCHEN sink arrived, and the workers are back at it, they plan to finish our kitchen today….

Oh Boy!

The counter, black granite, came today as well. The kitchen is cooking with activity, it feels soooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

Hot home cooked meal tonight, what a welcome feast!

  1. Great news Corey!!! Enjoy!
Loooved the photos of you and Chelsea.

Fantastic news, Corey! I know how disruptive not having a kitchen is, not to mention the dust, workmen walking around etc.
I’m curious as to what your first meal will be in your brand new kitchen! I bet your itching to get in there and cook.

Yippee! You and your family must have really missed homecooked meals. Now you will have the fun of putting things away in the kitchen and actually having storage. The cabinets are very nice. Did you really find them at Ikea or are they custom?

  4. I’m so happy for you!

  5. So glad things are finally coming together for you. You’ll be back in action before you know it!

Oh wow, what fun. I can hardly wait to see the finished project. When mine was being finished and the granite and sink went in I was just doing the happy dance all day, even in all the mess. Congratulations, you’re almost done. Hugs, Marty

    Yay!! So exciting!
Be sure to hug your new kitchen sink everyday like I do. I love mine.
    Have a wonderful weekend,

  9. Wow that went fast! My recent kitchen renovation took about 6 weeks and my contractor said that was fast!
You are a lucky girl and I am so excited to see what it looks like in the end.
We did stainless steel counters next to the sink and some wood counters.
Our house was built in 1920 and the kitchen is rather small– but it is cozy!
I love your blog. It helps me go back in time to when I was a student at the University of Avignon in 1979!
    Au revoir!

    How exciting!

Corey, your blog is so much fun, and your photos are gorgeous, you have such a good eye for detail. I have been enjoying reading your blog since it has come to my attention some weeks ago.
I am Portuguese from Mozambique, married to an American from California, and we live in Madrid. I was happy to see that you too are of Portuguese descent. Ainda falas portugues?
Anyway, I decided to open my own blog with my own photos. Being a painter I want to talk about painting, and living with CLL, and growing old, and esthetics, and travels. Here’s the link: www.maiasintothemoonlight.blogspot.com. Enjoy your new kitchen! Celeste Maia

    Seriously?
Your eating a home cooked meal tonight – as I type this note? Because that photo did not make the kitchen seem close to finished…. must be the angle or something! LOL
Hope you enjoy your first meal in your new- dusty kitchen!

  16. i can’t even get a decent plumber and you have a new kitchen… there is something fishy here!! 🙂 enjoy that new kitchen.. so what’s for dinner and when shall i be there?

  17. Bon appetite!!!!

  18. You must be so happy to have your kitchen back. Can’t wait to see what’s for dinner, and also all the details of your new kitchen (lots of photos, please). The pix of you and Chelsea on your side bar is adorable! My daughter, age 22, and I are very close, too. I think we should have our photo taken together, but I am sorry to say that we are too shy, and too serious, and no one could get us to be goofy for the camera. Daughter and I must work on this…your photos will be our inspiration and permission to just have fun with it. Have a great day in the kitchen!

  19. Oh Joy. Oh Rapture. Yea!!!!
