In the beginning there was a carnival in Paris. At the carnival there was a Ferris Wheel and a merry-go-round-swing, a swing that went around and around, in the Tuileries Garden, next to the Louvre, smack dab in the heart of Paris. In the beginning there was a Girl who loved to ride the merry-go-round-swing and go around and around, viewing Paris like a bird high in the sky.
The Girl asked her Daughter, another bird who enjoyed the merry-go-round-swing and sky, to take photos of the view as the circled around higher than high.
When the daughter took the sit ahead of her she asked her Daughter why she sat in front of her, and not by her side? The Daughter said, "You"ll see."
When the swing started to go up and around higher and higher, the Daughter with gallant effort turned around to take photos of the Girl. The Daughter was pretty tricky, turning around high in the sky, holding a camera with one hand, taking photos of the Girl with a view of Paris behind her. The Girl made faces and held on for dear life.
Sometimes the aim was good, and sometimes the aim was not so good, the Girl and the Daughter cracked up laughing.
The Girl tried to let go and grab her own camera, certainly it would be easier to take a photo of the daughter sitting ahead of her.
But the Girl soon realized the speed, the height, the laughter, the topsy turvy movements of the swing made it impossible for her to even think straight. Instead of taking photos of the daughter the Girl just screamed, "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" as to give an air that she was
not scared.
The Daughter realized that taking photos in mid air, going around and around high as a bird in the sky, is not as easy as she thought. It was one thing to take a photo of the view, it was another to take a photo of the Girl and a view too.
Oops, the Daughter realized that it was easier to take photos of part of one's body, and part of Paris. Or was it luck?
When one is going around and around on a merry-go-round-swing everything seems to be running laps around you. (Are you dizzy with that sentence?) No matter how hard the Daughter tried the Eiffel tower would not stay still long enough for her to capture a photo of it with the Girl in view too.
Though the Girl was impressed that the daughter could let go, hold her camera and THINK to take a photo, all at the same time.
The Girl was also impressed that she, herself, did not have the urge to throw up.
Well at least not while she was in the air swinging.
