One suitcase found but which one?

Update:

1suitcase found, though not yet delivered.

                Which suitcase will it be?

Suitcase holding 18th century documents with five rolls of rough hemp.

                OR

Suitcase holding the one black dress, underwear, toothbrush, camera and computer gear.

The roll of the dice…. which would I miss more? French Husband was right when he said, "Corey you should safeguard your photos before you leave."

Why did I not follow his advise.

OH la la can be used as a negative…. in the is case Oh La la…..

  1. I hope they find the one with your camera first, simply because it contains your camera.
Did you get enough sleep yet at least?

  2. Oh la la Corey. No, no, no. In this case I would be beating myself up with all the “coulda woulda shoulda” but You did all you could do and now residing with friends to encourage you. But I so don’t want you to not have your CAMERA! or COMPUTER GEAR! But then, oh no, 18th century documents, no no no.

  3. Bon Chance, Corey! I know you will make the best of it, whatever happens.

  4. Corey- They WILL find it!!! They found one and the other should soon follow! I will hope and pray for you! In the meantime yet another great excuse to go shopping 🙂 (Finally we are on the same time zone and I am not the last to post)

  5. I’m sure they’ll both turn up. Fingers crossed for you.
If you haven’t already got one, get yourself an external hard drive to save all your photos on, then carry it separately. THey’re not too heavy so can go in your hand luggage. Then at least you won’t lose irreplaceable photos.
Sending positive finding thoughts to your camera and computer gear:)

  6. Oh no! I’m so sorry this is happening Corey!
This calls for good baggage juju vibes … doing my whirly twirly dance and incantation for a rapid return of the luggage!
Thinking good thoughts that all will be well lickety split and you can lay your head down and slumber peacefully Corey!

  7. Oh no ! It’s the suitcase I hide a little gift for you ?

  8. Hope when they deliver the bag there are two bags instead of one. Surprise! Wouldn’t that be lovely.

Hoping you recover both quickly . Americans are efficient , aren’t they ? They WILL recover them for you , no doubt .

  10. Gosh, Corey. I really hope they found the bag with your camera.
I’m sending positve thoughts that they will find both bags and intact.

  11. oh dear – they will most likely find both but the question is when? Until then, relax and enjoy because there is nothing else to be done about it.

Couldn’t you keep your camera with you on the plane ??? …………………..
Crossing my fingers for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Corey
Struggle or triumph? What an UN-fortunate situation — my heart goes out to you and my prayers to St Francis to found lost objects— remember when you lost your eye glasses months ago — and Chelsea found them — all was not lost after- all — so positive vibes are coming your way.
Maybe by the time you read your blogee comments you will have your treasured luggage back safely

  14. hmmm . Dilemma. Hopefully resolved when the second suitcase re-appears.
    Ouch.

  15. Cory I hope you find both suitcases! But it’s a toss up because both in there own way appear to be irreplaceable. Hope your journey this month holds a lot of fun and surprises. I live no where near Texas but I’m sure to see you here and on other blogs that I follow. Enjoy your visit to Willows. The closeness of your family is visible in your photos and your writing, you truly are blessed. Have a safe journey!

  16. Crossing my fingers for you!

  17. ooh lala would not be the words I would be using if I were you right now! You must be more of a lady than I am 🙂
i sure hope they both come back all in once piece.. both are irreplaceable.

  18. It’s the one with the camera. It has to be. The other will follow soon. Crossing my fingers (and eyes) and saying a little prayer for the safe return of all your things.

  19. Linda Hanselman

HHHH LALALALALA is right! I hope it’s the one with the linens, sorry but the dress computer and camera can be replaced.

  20. Oh Corey! Hope the other suitcase is found as well, and the contents of both are intact. Glad you arrived safely.

  21. I hope you find ALL your belongings! By the way, I found you through “Blogging for Bliss” and I want to say congratulations for being a part of such a wonderful book =)

  22. Oh LA LA! How about Merde, Merde, Merde!! What a pain in the neck. Fingers, toes, and everything else I can think of is crossed for the safe return of your STUFF!!! (most important…YOU have safely arrived in the care of people who care about you! Thank Goodness)

  23. oh dear dear dear
hope the other is close behind

  24. Ed in Willows

That’s why I always keep my camera in my carry-on. Hope they find it soon.

  25. Corey, continued prayers from here for the rapid return of both suitcases.
And, hmmmm, I wonder what FH’s surprise gift could be?

  26. Is it there yet? Have they re-united the two of you? I hate it when this happens…often for me! I feel for you!

  27. Corey have wonderful time !
Everything will follow into the wright places!

  28. As if I needed any reminder of the value of packing any irreplaceable or costly items into carry-on bags to take into the plane cabin with us instead of putting them in the checked luggage! Corey, if you get the letters back, you might want to photocopy a set to mail home to France, as a form of insurance.

  29. Oh no…FH gift?
No Massilianana, I would not describe American’s as “efficient”. At least not the airline system…
Corey, You arrived safely. The rest will be ok.

  30. Oh my, good luck with that!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!! Hopefully they find your camera.
    Cheers,
    Margaret B

  31. That’s a tough call, Corey. I’m hoping you get them both back!!

Of all of my “misplaced” suitcases, carseats ad strollers over the years, never has anything been really lost. Think: rerouted, misplaced, slow, delayed, paumé but not Lost.

  33. The second one could still arrive 🙂
Pictures are more valuable to me.
and I guess you need a flower dress and not a black one so get one any how
and ok, I have to tell you this: Never leave your camera or computer stuff on a luggage, take it with you (I feel kind of a big sister saying it but I can not refrain myself because I AM a big sister) 🙂
    xoxo
    Enjoy your holidays!!!!!

  34. Julie Ann Evins

Chin up Corey, both may yet appear. Good luck Jx

  35. I have a feeling both will appear. Just say to yourself “Nothing is ever lost.” That’s what I do and nine times out of ten, whatever seemed to be lost is found.
    xo

  36. I hope its the suitcase with FH’s little gift, because that’s the one packed with love.

  37. ahhh, your mention of the american church in paris bulletin board brought back a flood of mid-1980s memories…. scrounging and slumming it around paris… good stuff.
and good wishes on your adventure — off to a wild start!
