Brocante Shop

ribbons

A. is having her first ever Brocante Shop.

I so want to go and bring the French Brocante Stuff she bought in France back to my house. I know it is crazy, I can find my own French Brocante Stuff here is France… but hey, I really dig what she found when she was her with me last September… I think you would dig her Brocante stuff too…wait a minute why am I telling you about her shop???? I should not breath a word of it, I should sneak over and pack it up in my suitcase and bring it home with me. Heheheheee…. seriously it is a thought.

Like this piece. Another Brocante Beauty she has that I have to have. It has my name written on it, I swear it does. If you go to her shop just look on the bottom of this piece and you will see my name.

I have to have it.

monogram playing chips

Monogram playing chips… I want these, so please, please go, and when you see A. tell her that you came to her Brocante shop to pick up the Monogram Playing Chips, the statue head, the ex voto… well all her stuff actually for me, okay? Thank you. Oh, and by the way if she says no they are not for sale, or already sold or something awful like that… um…ah…ugh.. well then grab them and run.

When you get to my house, I'll hide you so she won't find you.

Who says sharing is fun?

French antique chair

Okay, I know, I know, I know, sharing is fun…but please A. can I have the monogram playing chips and this chair, and the wooden statue head….

laundry tags

(Photos by A)

Do you know what these are? French Laundry tags! Isn't the stand underneath a beauty too! I should have tied A. up…why did I take her to the brocante with me in France? Why?

sconce

"Who's it, What's it things that remind me of you," as A. would say.

I guess I took her because she is so darn cute, and fun, and creative and I knew her shop would be a masterpiece of deliciousness!

I am sure you will love it too!

As Luck will have it — I live in SE Portland, a stones throw from Amy Doll’s shop,, I can’t wait to see her treasures she brought back, and I hope she does not notice me checking out the statue head and the playing chips to see if your initials are etched on them!
I do hope she is a big success–

  3. How come the “treasures” other people find always seem cooler then what we find? Must be “brocante envy” hu? LOL!

  4. Love and hugs and glorious wishes……
I send you love and lots of kisses

  5. Corey, Amy’s pics are great ,I can see she got a lot of inspiration and I can say from who she’s got it . The angel head is gorgeous , you can write my name just under yours !! If you don’t have room for it at home let me know !!
We have a beautiful evening with you ! Do you stay here for halloween ?

  6. Well–I just visited your blog for the first time, but plan to come back regularly now. I’ve never been to France, but your pictures make me want to visit even more than I did before!!! I also learned a new word–brocante–the online French/English translator says it means “second hand goods.” Brocante is a much more elegant word and perfect for the lovely things your friend Amy has! I wish Cincinnati wasn’t so far from Portland! Take care, and I look forward to visitng again soon!

  7. All these treasures!
    BUT
will there be anything left for the rest of us when we come to France?!!
    Congratulation Amy Doll!

  8. How in the world did she buy those things RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE when you took her to the brocante? Oh, I know, she had macrons with her and distracted you! Way to go Amy Doll. Her shop will be a huge success, I am sure!

  9. Canby huh? Not too far from me!!!! Maybe I can pop in and surprise her?????
I hope her new shop is a huge success.
    XOXOXOXOXO,

Those laundry tags would have made a great guessing game!
On first glance, I thought they were for liquor bottles or hotel room keys.
