Brocanting Online with Tongue in Cheek Antiques

Cake-feve

Big title for a modest little shop. Brocanting online with:

TONGUE IN CHEEK ANTIQUES ONLINE

I will add items often. Smalls things, sweet things, mostly impractical, certainly old and hopefully larger items. Let me know if there is something you might be interested it and I'll try to find it. Please do not say; A chateau starting with a V, or something like a Mona Lisa 'cause that would be hard to match. Though I must admit I love a dare.

The Brocanting Tour started with introductions, Amy Doll from Oregon likes pink. Is a stay at home Mom, has four children, is starting a business and buys what I buy. Mimi from NYC has grown children, is a single parent, has a job nothing to do with antiques and has the best clothes that I am going to steal–Also buys what I buy. Lynn is from South Carolina. Is an antique dealer, sets up once a month at Scott's in Atlanta, and has two grown sons, an Ex-Cowboy and buys furniture that I love! Then there is me… a crazy person who tells too many stories, eats too much and as you know has a thing or two for the brocante.

The news predicts rain! Hogwash!

We are on the trail (pictures will follow) I am lucky two of them are jet lagged it makes the competition easier.

  1. Good luck! 🙂

  2. Hi Corey… It sounds like you have a busy few days planned. I wanted to let you know that although your blog doesn’t go directly to my inbox as I originally inquired about but Ive found that I look forward to getting in bed at night with my iPhone to read your newest postings. It’s a nice ritual.
Also, I figure you get a lot of eblasts from retailers. I’d love to see what other stores are doing for their e-marketing. Could you forward me the names of stores you admire or just forward me the emails as they come?
    Enjoy Paris!

The online shop looks great. I know it’s a big item to ship but have you ever come across a large antique bird cage?
Good luck. It’s going to be a great success. x

  7. I think your antiques online shop site is very, very smart. It is clean, sharp, unfussy… tres chic. The font, the layout, the colour scheme, everything about the site presents your antique wares beautifully .

I’ll check out the store later today. I don’t think that the excuse of “I was checking out an online French antiques store” will go over very well with the boss…
