Last night French Husband announced that he was ready.

"Ready for what," I asked, "Christmas?" I poked him, "You're not ready, you haven't bought a thing."

French Husband shook his head, giving me that look that I was on the wrong track. "I am ready to take you up flying… Thursday is the day."

I gulped, "Thursday like the day after tomorrow?"

"Yes."

"Oh you mean, the Mosquito, Sting and the Chicken (I gotta give myself a new name!), Yes I am ready, nervous but ready."

I bet you know what I am going to share about tomorrow! I won't post until late in the evening (French time) as I will be up in the air at sunrise.

Please think of us that… French Husband flies well and that I manage to take some awesome photos up above Provence.

Oh, by the way are you ready? If you want to fly up above Provence with my hunk of burning love or in this case Sting and his Mosquito, contact him the next time you're in town.

    love Karon x

  2. Julie Ann Evins

Bon voyage darling, I shall tell Keith who will have his own birds eye views of Provence to remember from his special day with Yann. The photo sits proudly on the wall in our downstairs loo ! God Bless, Jx

  3. If you see Father Christmas among the clouds, wave to him !!!
We should sign in for a flight…
Will FH pick us up? (So handy for us !!!)
We’ve got a very good aerodrome in the neighbourhood :

    Thank you !!!

  4. Go Corey!

  5. May he have the gift of the ancient Magi to read the stars and the winds and may it be a pleasant ride!
    To tomorrow,
    Merisi

Perhaps snapping your views with camera will distract you. Like your moto_rides: Sit back and enjoy the ride.

  7. Lucky you! I would love it! Enjoy!

  8. Have fun…snap great pictures…share!

  9. ok. °0° Yipes! Light ahead.

  10. I LOVE that you call French Husband your “Hunk of Burning Love” ♥♥♥
    XOXOOXOXO Sheala

  11. Love it, yeah could do with a Hunk of burning love…:-) and he is a man of many talents,,,!

  12. And he flies too!? Oh this man is perfect.

  13. Have fun with your “hunk”. Looking forward to seeing the photos you take.

  14. Ed in Willows

You are a braver person than I am.

  15. “Blue Skies”!

  16. Much as I would like some alone time with sexy French Husband, I think I’ll stay on the ground. Take some good pix, Corey. That is the only way I will ever see Provence from the air. **sigh**

  17. Sorry, but I will never be ready–even if it is to fly above Provence! I have serious “fear of flying”! Have fun though. Can’t wait for the next post and pictures. –Delores

  18. Grace, Wings on the air, (though I remember huddling in a rattling little plane as a child, terrified) Tempted these days only by the thought of the areal photos! A Hot Air balloon would be more my style and preference I think.
I hope you both enjoy yourselves up in the sky! (you are braver and racier then I and I love you for it) Have fun with French Husband. xX

  19. Gulp! I am not sure I could be ready too. I love flying in big planes, but those little ones scare me. I am sure the sights are amazing and I will look forward to seeing your pictures. Have fun!

  20. Charlotte Le Den

    Oooooh!! I’d love to!

  21. Gulp is right! I hope you have a wonderful time and keep your stomach intact!
    Love and kisses
    Ulla

  22. I KNOW exactly what you mean, Corey. My husband is a pilot too and I get very queasy , if not sick, every time I go flying with him. If I take travel pills I’m asleep for the rest of the day !!! Soooo… it doesnt happen very often much to his regret. BIG planes – no problem!!

  23. Corey
This is too much! Now I have to come to France between the Brocante, Annie, Flying, and to meet You — it is more temptation then one can bare.

  24. Ooooo, have fun! I’m imagining Karin’s first flight with Dennis (sp?) in the movie Out of Africa….

  25. Your life is certainly not dull! Clever FH, giving you short notice of your flight!

  26. Brother Mathew

    Loop time? Have fun!

  27. French Husband must be so exited to share with his “One and Only LOVE” one of his favourite hobbies.
Anxious, too…Not easy after 25 years to get one’s Wife to the “7ème Ciel”.
    Have fun lovely dear ones.

  28. Have a wonderful time! I love flying in a small plane, the views are spectacular!
Don’t listen to the engine sounds just spend the time looking all around you and feeling like a bird, you will loose your butterflies quickly. Blue skies here you come!
PS… dress warmly, no one ever tells you how much colder it is when you are up in the air!

  29. oooooh! Have so much fun, Corey!

  30. Awesome! I can’t wait to hear about it, Corey. 🙂

  31. Billie Haffey

Corey… My husband too has his private pilots license and I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for the time we have shared.. with him as the pilot and myself as navigator.. it is beautiful. You will rely on him in a new way and he will rely on you too.. the support, you know.
I can’t wait to hear about it!
    Love and hugs,
    Billie

  32. I want to fly too! You lucky girl. Your husband is a keeper, Corey!
I love the stocking stuffers, and the way you photograph them is perfect. Each object shines of its own brilliance, without tricks or manipulation (I assume!).
Okay, how do I get a pilot’s license? At least when I come to France, I know who to call for a plane ride! Thanks xoxo!!! Enjoy! Take us some pics too.

  33. Have a great time!
Love the stocking stuffers! I think they would love to be in my stocking. Maybe one day I will beat everyone to the punch and be able to get one before they are sold out!

  34. What a difference a day makes! The stocking stuffer is gone! The baby in the locket. Happy person who grabbed it.
    xoxo
