22 Years and One Snowy Day

Snow-Provence2

Looking out at Winter Wonderland that use to be Provence. Snow and snowing. Doesn't look like we will be going anywhere any time soon.
A very good excuse to stay in bed.

Snow

Looking out the window at La Madone… the pool is now an ice skating rink.

Plantain-snow

Cold, snow, even pretty cold snow doesn't make me want to go outside…. "Button up your over coat when the wind gets cold… take good care of yourself you belong to me baby!" I think I must have sang this song two million times before midday.

Iclces

I will get out of bed, I will get out of bed…. then I look over to the other side of the bed, and see the real reason why I am staying inside….

  1. does that mean it snowed over night? Oh you lucky thing.. here in Australia, I sit with the air-conditioner on in around 35deg heat and that is celsius!! which is around 100F..
I looked at your wedding photo again and it struck me that you & I have both had cancer since we got married in 1988… who woulda thought back then??
have a fantastic day dear Corey xo

  2. Aha, you have weather like us. Well maybe not quite, minus 12 degrees here in snowy Scotland. The White Christmas novelty has worn off. stepped off my plane from France on Thursday night into Narnia. What joy.
    Keep warm
    Happy New Year
    Karon x

  3. Beautiful!! Love snow photos because we never get snow! The real reason(s) why you stay in bed … you sparkle when you write about ♥FH… or… oh, I think it must be a good book! LOL!!! ☺

  4. Never saw snow fall (nor was in freezing weather) till I was 21 and went to visit my future inlaws in the US Midwest. My conclusion was that snow is highly overrated, at least if one must go out in it! Fortunately translating and support research on the Internet generally allow me to work from home, so haven’t had to set foot outdoors all week. It’s still dark here, but thanks to my indoor floor lamp I can see that just outside the window by my computer, a long row of 5′ killer icicles is hanging from the eaves of the north side of the house (wouldn’t want to be standing directly below those babies if one suddenly detached, as it could be positively lethal).

  5. i hope that you enjoy your snow day to its fullest. even if you run out of songs to sing.
    xow.

  6. Corey, reading your post made me smile and cry at the same time. I don’t want to get out of bed because I want to dream about someone and his love I’ve just lost. x

You certainly found a wonderful place to cocoon.

I absolutely cannot think of a more romantic venue to celebrate a Wedding Anniversary and snow providing the perfect reason to stay in bed with gorgeous FH is a heavenly bonus. Enjoy every moment Corey xx

  11. Makes you wonder about all that Global Warming hype, doesn’t it?
    ,-)
    Aunt Amelia

  12. WOW! Lots of snow! Venture out and make an angel with your ANGEL!

  13. Let the celebrating continue…wink, wink ♥
Love yout Grandmother’s wedding dress by the way.

Enjoy the snow. As we on the other side of the world prepared for 43c tomorrow! (Yes, global climate crisis)

  15. ::Swoon!::
I’m trying to figure out how I could possibly be any more jealous of you right now!! ;oD

Cuddle up together with FH and keep warm until the snow is gone… Very strange winter this year, we have hardly got any snow here in the Austrian Alps – but I don´t mind, of course. All I can think of is my favourite season : spring, summer and autumn.

  17. Staying in bed is good. We’ve been dealing with sub-zero temps at night for weeks now and you do whatever you have to do to stay warm. We had a boy from Marseille stay with us for a couple of weeks last summer and he was telling us how unusual it is to have snow there.

  18. So much snow and so very beautiful! Stay warm in bed for sure. I recognise the view, but not the snow.

  19. Blessings sweet Corey! Stay in bed and enjoy the love!
    Kisses
    Ulla

    Pretty magical!

  21. Stay cozy! What a beautiful wonderland! I just came back from sunny half moon bay, and now were heading back to the foggy valley! I am ready for spring.

  22. Mindi, I wish I were in Half Moon Bay right now. Actually, I’d head down to Duarte’s in nearby Pescadero for a bowl of artichoke soup. It was 4° here when I got up at 6 AM today — and that’s in Fahrenheit, not Celsius. Would that I were in California (or the Azores) right now.

  23. Dear Corey ~
    Beautiful post, beautiful photos ~
    and a belated Happy Anniversary!

  24. staying in bed at la madone is not a bad thing, ha-ha. and i like your snowy pictures.
happy anniversary to a beautiful couple!!!

  25. BRRR! I wouldn’t want to get out of bed either. Just snuggle!

  26. WEll dear Corey,
I hope you enjoyed your day. Here in my neck of the woods I have seen enough snow and been cooped up more than I care to again. We have snow drifts as high as my house and it was minus 30 degrees. I wonder when spring will arrive..hehehe
    love and blessings
    Tammy

  27. Oh my gosh. The madone is so beautiful in the winter time…
    xoxo to raphael

  28. I love this post. May we all be so lucky as you…

  29. So snowy in your place. I really love to see a snow because in my life I’ve never seen it.
