In the Heart of Provence

There is a house with almond green shutters. Leading up to the house is a stone wall which is lined with lavender bushes and olive trees. This morning when I woke up I pushed open the shutters and saw the castle of Lagnes in the near distance….

  10. What? No Burger King? No Shoneys or Applebees? No swinging hydro lines festooned with bushy tailed squirrels? No red lighted cellphone towers beckoning every ten miles?
    Just castles. Poor thing.

p.s. so glad you fell in love with Babette. Dogs are so wonderful. They love us unconditionally, cheerfully giving – yet requiring so little.

  22. Wow. You had me at Provence. The rest is just delightful icing on the cake, with Babette as the final morsel. Delicious!
