  1. Hahahaha. That last line is hilarious!
I hope he has cousins who lend him some clothes for a while. 🙂

  2. Marie-Noëlle

This will be the birth of Master Godivus !!!

  3. Paulita

    Everyone needs a passion!

  4. He really..really LOVES his bike!!! Our best to him Corey!!!

  5. Rebecca

Best of luck to your son on his new adventure! Too bad he’s moving in the summer or he could wear many layers of clothes.
Question for you: If both of your children settled permanently in the US would you and FH move there as well?

Oh aren’t boys and their toys just too much. Can you imagine a girl saying this? So easy for them to pick up some clothes. I agree with Paulita, everyone needs a passion. I was once Lady Godiva for Halloween – a flesh colored full body suit and a ridiculously long wig, toy horse.

  7. Well I certainly hope you take pictures:)

  8. It’s a good thing Yann isn’t the one coming to California. I think the apple does not fall far from the tree. Can you see Yann’s bike in the baggage compartment?

  9. Your mom must be ticked to bits that Sacha is going to stay with her!!! I can’t wait to hear of his adventures in Willows through your blog! 😉

  10. okay, send a few clothes, squeeze in the bike, and then hope for the best. Good luck Corey!

  11. Kimberly

Corey, having 3 boys, all teenagers, I can relate. Mine only need their long boards. Who needs more than one outfit anyway? Isn’t it great? I love their sense of adventure and no fear attitude. I could use a little bit of that. Correct that! A lotta that! Blessings, Kimberly

  12. my son would say the same thing…

  13. so what is he going to do in Willows besides ride his bike while wearing no clothing?

  14. Marilyn

Yes, he is handsome. Of course, bike first. Maybe he can wear several layers of clothes on the plane. I have a friend, her son moved to Paris and what he wanted was to have his surf board. His parents actually agreed to carry it on the plane as part of their luggage when they went to visit. I know he will have a wonderful year with Grandmother and the bike will just make it all the more special.

Sure hope Sacha isn’t counting on Brother Matthew to pick him up at the airport ;-)))
Maybe once in California, Sacha could pick up some good bargains on clothes at a thrift-shop?

  16. Renee Des Marais Verdier

    Hum.
Handsome French young man and Bike arrive in California….several months later as the progression goes…Too many Cute little blonds, surf boards and Sasha is longing for a Porsche…..to complete the trip.

  17. Chris Wittmann

Has he been to America before? If not, what a wonderful experience it will be for him! Hope you and Yann get to fly out there too during his stay.

  18. Natalie Thiele

Good for Sacha. Priorities! Clothes are so overrated! (Ha! I am only kidding. I love clothes.) I vote for bundling up like a snowman on the plane and borrowing the rest from cousins.

  19. Cheryl ~ Casual Cottage Chic

Just ship him some clothes; easier {cheaper} than shipping the bike. The airlines have special boxes for bikes, by the way. Don’t forget the helmet 😉
Too bad he is missing the X-Games in Los Angeles…lots of bike riding, jumping, etc. Just what he loves!
You know, you could come for a visit in Nov/Dec and bring along winter clothes.
    xo,
    Cheryl

I was going to also make the commment about Brother Matthew’s picking up but will cut him a break, for now!!!Clothes wash and he can always get more so…I vote for the bike! Have a wonderful American adventures Chelsea and Sacha!

What a terrific photograph of you and Yann for your fb!
Corey, I quit fb. Just wanted you to know.

  24. Birdbrain

Ship the clothes, he’ll only need shorts and t-shirts til mid Oct and a pair of tennis shoes. It’s NoCal casual! When he’s in Chico visiting Jack he needs to come and meet cousin Madeleine. M sees Jack quite often at Chico High but both are too shy to say, Boo! Fall high school football games, great fun!

  25. Brenda L from TN

Have a safe trip Sacha….and a WONDERFUL summer in the USA…the bike IS totally necessary…

  26. Sara Barroso
