Photos on today's post taken by Merisi in Arles.
The woman at the window. Merisi is a photographer who loves to capture light. She looks for it playing, then focuses her camera to have it paint her photos.
While in Arles we went to see an exhibition of photographers. In one of the galleries (a convent built several hundred years ago) the play of light was teasing Merisi. She asked me to stand by the window, and to keep my movements to a minimum.
As she captured light, I looked at the window. A stone wall faced me, nothing interesting to behold… then a dandelion seed floated by… a single dandelion seed airborne slowly caught my imagination. The convent, the woman, the seed. A moment of prayer, a moment painted by light.
