I dropped my bag and squeeled, "Look at the view!"
The hostess at the desk said, "It is the village, Bonnieux. Is it your first time in France?"
"No. I live here with my thick accent and daily admiration." I smiled, "Though I have not seen Bonnieux from this angle."
"Summer is best, with the lavender in bloom." She admitted, "But the apartments are doubly expensive."
I thought to myself, while I nodded my head, lavender has its price, along with a million tourists. I'll take winter with her silent gaze.
I starred at the view in awe, it was like the first time.
(Capelongue Bastide at sunset last night.)
Mary, my friend from Austin who I met through blogging, likes to spoil me. She invited two of her managers to France, and she asked me to tag along. Yahoo!! We will be touring Provence and then they will come to my house for a few days.
I hope they like Tofu.
They told me they drink Diet Coke for breakfast. My brother Zane and my sister in law Shelley do too. It must be an American thing. "Well," I said, "That is a good thing since I don't know how to make coffee."
Oh Provence, Oh Capelongue, someone has to come and keep you company during the winter.
