French Husband Wears it Well

Masked man

The second day after we arrived in Chiang Mai, French Husband had a strong allergic reaction. He found that wearing a mask kept the invisible-to-the-eye-particles (dust) from going in and causing havoc.

I found that a masked man is kind of sexy.

Not.

But hey he feels a million times better with it on so sexy it is.

  1. Okay, your man could be bald, sick with the flu and dressed in tattered clothing and we would all find him sexy! Trust me.
    You are so funny.

  2. Go with the mask. A happy man is much sexier than a sick/suffering one!

  3. You never saw the pictures of him wearing a shower cap in Iceland. Sheba and I made him get his own room after that.

  4. Good job!! Nice your thought and interesting details shared in recently post. really sexy look with mask .thanks for nice posting

  5. I have heard the pollution can be bad there. The mask is definitely worth it if he stays healthy.

    HE’s your Zorro !!!

  7. Brave New Man! 🙂
It is quite sobering, realizing under what horrible conditions the people living there permanently have to survive. It feels like paradise lost.

  8. Mystery Man 🙂

  9. I feel really bad for Yann. Knowing from SARS time in HK that wearing a mask can be a nuisance in humid climate. Hopefully when you go to sea the air would be clean and he feels better.

  10. Love you
Hope you are both feeling good and enjoying your trip
    Love Jeanne

  11. Ohhhh poor baby!

  12. Poor French husband. Is the pollution not bothering you?

  13. You know you think he looks hot, sort of like a reverse Zorro! He just needs a rose and fancy hat.

  14. Brenda L from TN

Better safe than sorry…keep the mask on Yann.

  15. I hope he’ll be able to take it off eventually so he can enjoy your travels more fully. In the mean time, let the sexy roll 🙂

  16. I prefere my mask, eventualy even with a shower hat, that your “green B. rain jacket !!! 😉

  17. Hi Paulita,
Yann has had allergies since he was a kid. The dust in the air bothers him more than the car exhaust.
It hasn’t bothered me at all.
Though my feet have swollen many times, which is strange considering I drink a ton of water, and it isn’t as hot as were I come from. Other than that we are fine.
    The mask helps!

  18. Farmboy Husband (an immunologist) suggests that Yann could be allergic to something in the dust, e.g., pollen or fungus, or to pollution in the air (i.e., something chemical). Certainly feeling rotten is never sexy, so I’m glad that wearing a mask is helping Yann to enjoy the trip more.

Will make for some interesting travel photos, that’s for sure! Nothing worse than feeling crappy when you’re traveling.

  20. The traditional clothing is stunning! Can’t wait to see what comes home in that (still?) empty suitcase of yours!! Safe travels my friend.

  21. …all of the above are his.
    Indoors he is fine.
Though outside he is a masked man. He is not alone, many masked people are about.

  22. In the bottom photo, Yann has a resemblance to Michael Jackson when he used to go out in public with his mask and dark glasses on!

  23. We were just talking about tourists here wearing masks.

  24. I had heard from friend who traveled through Asia how bad the pollution could be but didn’t think it could be quite that bad. People complain about LA, we’re quite lucky actually!! Tell FH to feel better please and take some time to put your feet up Corey. It helps my friend who gets swollen ankles/feet! Thanks again for sharing your trip, it’s so much fun.

  25. Oh, think of the possibilities!
