Twilight in Cassis

Cassis

Twilight in Cassis….

What a sight to make one oh and ah…

My three cousins from California, who are here now certainly are oh-ing and ah-ing.

My friend Kathie B. and her husband who were here a few days ago certainly admired it.

My dear long time friend Bonnie who came to visit the day before I left for China, who I hadn't seen over fifteen years, certainly oh-ed and ah-ed as well…

And every time I see Cassis I sigh, "Beautiful!"

Cassis anytime never disappoints, especially at twilight, but moreso when seeing it with friends.

What place do you never tire of seeing?

Cassis has always made me oh and ah …
EZE (on the French Riviera)is by far my top place for ohs and ahs ! Just divine !

  5. My daughter’s dimple when she smiles. The panorama of the Old Town in Warsaw from across the river; the red cliffs of Prince Edward Island in Canada; the green hills in Scotland covered with grass, cut with low stone walls with sheep grazing and with small lakes between some of the hills.

  6. My parents’ home in Seattle.

  7. Gorgeous!!!!
Have a wonderful time with your cousins (not sure which three) enjoy!!!!!
    XOXOXOXOXOXO Shea

    Venice. Florence. Venice. Florence.
    Can’t decide.
    Both

    The ocean.

  10. Beautiful indeed.
I never get tired of seeing my loved ones and hearing their voices and every ounce of Spring
    Love you

  11. Hope they brought a taste of childhood with them for you to savor together. I never tire of looking at nature, I find it soothing.

  12. Carmel by the Sea. My home when I have been away on holiday.

Arriving back home from the airport. First seeing Puget Sound on the left with the ferries out traveling to/from the docks, then the skyscrapers and the Space Needle. Then home and being greeted by the pets. I love Christine’s answer.

  14. I can’t imagine ever tiring of seeing that either…just beautiful.

  15. Rome from the Pincio at dawn or from Capitol Hill at sundown,
Cassis at twilight, Vienna at the Blue Hour, coming back to Venice by boat from anywhere in the Laguna, Capri at sunset.

  16. Corey, the one place I never tire of seeing is Tongue In Cheek !!!!

  17. It looks stunning Corey, just stunning! I can see why you wanted to show your family Cassis at twilight.
We are in France now, not far from Lyons and working our way to Provence over the next few days…if you still are able to meet up at some point I would love it; we will likely be there through the end of next week – and I do have your maple syrup with me…
You must be very happy to have your girl home now!

  18. ….the shores of Lake Superior…in any season, at any time of the day.

  19. I remember our late afternoon is Cassis last May.
Pat, Suzanne, and myself took a Taxi and spent several hours just eating, drinking, and looking/walking around.
Sat on some of the big bolders by the sea and just day dreamed about, “what if’s…..”
The place I never tire of is the coastline of Northern Oregon.

Martina, I know that same joy as I fly home to the same airport. What a welcoming view! First a view of The Mountain, if we’re lucky. Then I crane my neck, looking for the dent in the landscape that’s my home harbor.
And I love Christine’s answer too.

I smiled as I opened your blog for today’s visit. I am so thankful for your commitment to blog every single day, and for the confidence with which I can anticipate that every single blog will be beautiful, visually and from the heart.
What was the question? I never tire of seeing the world through your eyes. Thank you so much.

  23. Hi Jillayne,
I’ll be here next weekend. See you soon,
    Corey

    Yosemite!

  25. oh la la … can we go there too……

  26. Edinburgh, the Castle, Arthurs Seat, the Crags, the Pentland Hills, the view from my living room window. Every corner you turn in Edinburgh there is always a beautiful sight. It still amazes me every day as I drive to work.

  27. Love the last comment, as I’m from Edinburgh however live in Australia and visit France as often as possible as part of my lucky occupation. I’m with you Corey……Ah Cassis, one of my favourite places. You can never tire of Cassis (as long as you avoid it in August!)

  28. The wet, shining tarmac at Shannon airport just as the plane touches down. The fall of light through tempermental mists shifting and straying over Buachaille Etive Mòr in the Scottish Highlands. A country road glossed by sun and rain. The enchanting sight of a Bluebell Wood ringed by early morning light, and haloed sheep grazing on green hillsides … light, light, light … always a litnany of light!

  29. Whoops … sorry for the typos … should read temperamental and litany!

how beautiful…maybe someday I too will be able to see Cassis… I never tire of the beach/horizon/of the sun going down at timeshare in Maui… Aloha! ….Or the view from the soccer field at UCSC – overlooking the whole Santa Cruz area in a panoramic view: mountains, the town, pier, boardwalk, harbor, mission, beach, ocean…on clear days you can almost see Monterey….simply beautiful. Like you are on top of the world. Sometimes it is hard to turn away and watch my daughter play….

  31. Oh! How beautiful this is!
I love the Appalachian Mountains and also the Rockies. Also, there is nothing sweeter than a cove at the foot of a small mountain.

  32. I never tire of the beauty I see in my Hero Husband’s heart ♥
Apart from that I long, long, long to go back to ‘my’ Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) in Switzerland where I left my heart and many, many friends!
I also never tire of hearing my mother’s voice and the salves of laughter we erupt in when phoning with each other….
… as well as most of the places I have been lucky enough to visit in my life; most of which I would like to re-visit but haven’t got the time (nor money) to do!

  33. Zosia; I love YOUR dimple while you smiled when writing about your daughter’s….. 🙂

  34. Now, having read the comments, I feel – once more – privileged to be sharing the friendship of such an extra-ordinary woman with so many quite wonderful readers, visiting THEIR favourite places and I wondered (reading from top to bottom) what Christine had written. Now I have arrived there and she made me smile too!!!!
