Wow Corey – you’re barely stopping to draw breath between travels! I’m so impressed and can’t wait to follow you on this next journey!
Well, gee, you should have called! Do I have junk? Yessiree! And in Italy, too.
Do I have junk?
Enjoy! You are in the process of earning a new nickname: Corey The Globetrotter (why, with all the recent travel and sightseeing in your life).
Why do I read this blog when I am totally envious every time! Okay, next door to Ohio is Indiana. Road trip anyone? Anyone?
And next door to Italy is Slovenia …
And next door to Slovenia is Croatia …
And next door ….
Have a good trip, wherever it takes you to !!!
Next door to Virginia is Washington D.C. where my husband and I will go today to see the Ford theater where Lincoln was shot. In all the years we’ve lived here, we’ve never been.
Have a wonderful time. Safe travelling!
ooooh! whereabouts in Italy are you going? can’t wait to see!!
Oh my, I LOVE Italy! Took a 4 week vacation in Tuscany and will never recover from it, I loved it sooooooo much. I love Provence and Italy to the day I die. They are marvelous and wonderful and I will never recover till I’m there again.
Yey!!!!!
ha ha ha
Hurrrey!
Dear Corey,
May I say that you are truly inspirational! You may wonder why I sa that…Well, you remind me everyday to live life to the fullest, go with the flow, be up for anything, embrace wht is in front of you, and to be the first one in the car. That’s truly LIVING, not just existing. I’d love to come to France, go to Italy, take off to Marburger like last year & even though my children are small, it’s time to start LIVING and going with the flow. Thanks and have a wonderful time!
I would be first in the car too! Have fun!
LOL!!! I don’t blame you!! Take you camera for sure…have a safe and fun trip!! We want to see Italy!!…LOL!
I don’t know if Natalie will be the only other one to “get” this, but here goes anyway…
Every Sunday AM when I was a kid my dad would go down to the Genova Italian Delicatessen in the Temescal district of North Oakland* to buy authentic Italian foods for our bag lunches the next week, as well as extras for Sunday lunch! I’d love to find out first-hand how similar the authentic foods of Genoa are to the ones from that deli — probably quite a bit, I’d imagine.
Whenever I’d come to visit my folks from the East as an adult, my dad would always go down to the Genova Deli to stock up, including on their homemade ravioli and pizza. In fact, on our last visit to the East Bay in fall 2009, Farmboy Husband and I stopped there to pick up some of their fresh onion focaccia, deep-fried artichokes, ricotta cheesecake, and a few other delicacies!!! BTW, their pizza has thick dough, with just a light brushing of sauce and not too much cheese, but it tastes so great reheated in the oven at home.
* On Telegraph Ave. near 50th St. (still nearby, albeit in a new location).
P.S. I now wonder if the Italian proprietors of the deli assumed that my dad, with his Portuguese good looks (bronze skin, wavy dark hair, huge pale blue eyes), was instead one of their paisans 😉
Have fun girls, hope you brought a mixed tape!
I dunno Sam — one of the fun things about being in a foreign country is tuning in the music on the local radio stations! (Not that I expect them to be playing “Whena the moona hitsa yo’ eye lika a bigga pizza pie, that’sa amore” — LOL!)
So jealous of your life! China a couple weeks ago, now Itlay. Take me with you please 🙂
Have fun, and make sure you speak with your hands!
Bon voyage! 🙂
Have fun! I love Italy :o)
What do they call brocantes in Italy? Hope you find some treasures to share on your webshop! Chhers 😉
Oh have fun! And leave room in the car to bring back some STUFF!!!!!
Yum! I do love Genova. The new location isn’t as exotic as the old, but the food is just as great. I must stop in next time I’m in Oakland.
You only live once, but you certainly manage to pack a lot into that one life, Cory!
I look forward to more tales.
Been in France 3 days. Managed to learn “I am so very sorry”. Comes in handy. Found one lousy attic brochante; got there too late. I would pack up and go to Italy too. Woman said Barcelona was full of them. (brochante/
Next trip.
