Love Foundation

Happy cousins in Paris

Family.

I am lucky,

Three graces

To have one that loves me,

and that I love.

With my whole heart.

Reflecting cousins

One where I do not have to be anything but myself,

and one where they show what love is by being who they are.

Stained glass windows paris

I am lucky.

Certainly lucky.

Palais royal cousin

A family that reflects goodness, faith and shared history.

Who creates moments that are nothing short of blissful, juicy, happy-go-lucky, tenderness.

Cousins forever

Cousins.

Three out of many,

who make this world a beautiful place.

That three Graces shot is brilliant! happy for your big close loving family. How nice.

  3. Cousinhood of the Travelling Amaros and Belfortes – a beautiful thing.

  4. Family is what matters to me as well. It gives me the sense of who I am, where I’m coming from and sometimes, looking at the oldest ones, where I’m headed. Love, support, tenderness and memories are what we share and what keep me grounded.

  5. the 3 graces…nothing short of genius…
My love foundation gets stronger when I reach out with love and caring-what you put out there comes back to you, it’s true.

    Children and wonderful friends.

  7. Sharing your family time with your reader (this one for sure) has been a pleasure to behold. Parents, siblings, grand and godparents all round me out, with aunts and uncles and cousins. Ah, the cousins. They make life all the better, don’t they? I know mine do.

  8. You are very lucky, I am too. I think our fountains run on the same fluids.

The pictures are magnificent. In the unlikely circumstance of your ever getting tired of antiquing, you could have another career ahead of you as a professional photographer.

Your tender reflections say it all. And you appreciate being blessed with so much love.

You are indeed blessed. I am blessed with a daughter I am excited to see today and cousins too, which I will see this weekend in California.

  12. UNITED LOVE IS THE FOUNDATION OF EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS IN MY LIFE… (sorry for the caps, they got stuck but I leave it!)
your photos are to kill for – if I may say so! I don’t have such a strong relation to my cousins but I love them too and I’d dearly love to see more of them. Sadly, I can’t even see my whole family often enough; I just phoned with my son for over half an hour (he only has a mobile phone) and we haven’t seen each other for well over an year. But the foundation is there; and I visit my mum and mother-in-law as well as my family abroad as often as I can.
Thank you Corey, for giving so much of your soul to us!
    Love, Kiki
PS: Penny, I fully agree with you! 🙂

I love the Three Graces shot! What fun! Cousins!!!! My cousins and I aren’t that close – my 4 sisters and I are the youngest of the large group of cousins…time and family circumstances, death and all that made the bond hard to keep……however our children have the best ‘cousin’ bound around and they are very close…..I love my niece and nephews like my own. Cousin Power!

Yes, lucky and blessed you are. This post made me cry, Corey. It’s a rare gift to be allowed to be exactly who you are at all times and to be supported through it.
    (I love the three graces!!!)

  16. Beautiful post and pics!! and yes you are truly lucky. My love foundation is my family (my son and mother specifically) as well as other family members and friends. I have friendships that span 33 years.

Unfortunately, for circumstances largely not of our own making, some of us have hardly any relatives (thank goodness I located my long-lost second cousin 8 years ago!), so build non-genetic “families” out of caring friends.

What a sweet, endearing post, full of light, joy, and peace. Thank you or this time out from a busy schedule. Like a bit of cake without the calories.

Yes, you are LUCKY. I don’t see my family often but when we do, it’s hugs, love, stories, laughter, sharing.
The base of our family is faith and I’m happy for it.

  20. I love the three graces!
My grandma (97 years old) is the tap root of my family, for me.

  21. So true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This 4th of July 3 of my first cousins are coming to my place for a little reunion. We have not been together for decades. I cannot wait to be silly and crazy with them. It warms my heart just to think of it! Blessings, Kimberly P.S. Love the pic of the girls mimicking the statue. Priceless!

Crazy Cool Cousins…. love the post more than you will ever know. I really love this blog.

My late mom used to say – with some melancholy – that our family members were each on their own little island. Clearly we could use a foundation. In the meantime, I’m enjoying yours.

  26. This is beautiful. Thank you for reminding me to count my blessings.

On a totally different note: I like your cousins’ travel garments. Especially the black and white striped, um, what do I call it? over the black leggings. Good job looking stylish, cousins!
I also really, really like the hand-lettered chalkboard shot. What was that?

My Love foundation is strong due to the fact, as you say, I can be who I am with them, they love me unconditionally, and we can disagree without the world ending. To trust, to lean, to enjoy! Even when discussions must be made, we can still walk away loving each other. To have children get this and live this way is also like seeing God’s touch on our family.
