The man above with a pink sweater wrapped around his shoulders is the reason I am a mother who celebrates Mother's Day in France. Last weekend was Mother's Day.
Oh (!) the double advantages of being a Franco-American couple…
Two languages,
An Easter Bunny, and Church bells that bring chocolate Easter eggs,
A Tooth Fairy, and a Tooth Mouse to share your children's teeth,
and two days to celebrate Mother's Day since they do not fall on the same day.
…
I never had my own cell phone, instead I had hand me down phones, with only three numbers added. My message said, "Hi, you have reached the person who doesn't want a phone, so chances are the phone is off, lost, or I didn't hear it ringing. Don't leave a message because I do not know how to retrieve it, call back please."
This weekend all that changed when I received a IPhone.
When I saw the wrapped gift box on my dinner plate I thought it was the customary (and desired) perfume. But no.
How fun learning curves are. Once I master this new baby, I will add photos (Pink Shoes) more often during the day and, possible videos.
Nevertheless, the pasta necklace and child's hand poem are my favorites….
Do you remember what you gave your Mother?
